Anyone else starting investigations this month?

Hiya just wondering if there are any ladies on here who have been TTC 1yr+ and are seeking help from GP this month as I've just requested a call from my gp to discuss and would like someone to buddy up with as I'm scared! 😂

@Riviera90 Hey love! Bless you for thinking of me. I've been thinking and hoping the best for you too! How are you? I hope things are progressing nicely 😊 I'm well! But unfortunately in terms of TTC no luck - Letrozole cycle 3 didn't work and I'm CD1 today :( But I do feel okay about it. Planning to do 1-2 more cycles to finish off my meds and then thinking about next steps. Cant believe I'm onto cycle #4!

Started my 4th cycle of Letrozole, on 7.5mg Letrozole this time. If this dosage doesn't work then it's onto IVF because clearly meds aren't doing anything! @Riviera90 hope you are doing well xxx

@acaciabluebell I hope this is the one for you!!!! What was your dosage the last 3 cycles? Did you have your progesterone level checked on the last one? X
Has your consultant said 4 cycles is the max for letrozole or are you just ready to try something else? I think I would have been allowed up to 6 cycles of clomid but not sure what’s the norm.

I’m ok thank you x had a few scares this week - had really bad cramps in the night which made me faint! The EPU said they couldn’t do anything but I contacted my private doc and he wanted to check me over straightaway so I went for a very early scan. Could see a very tiny baby in the right place in there and no signs of bleeds. So I was relieved for a whole 24 hours before it happened again at night and woke up with excruciating cramps! No bleeding but I’ll have to wait until my next scan in 2 weeks to see what’s happening. My heart rate has gone down today so have been worrying about that plus the cramps but I’m hoping it’s just because my body is going through a lot of changes. I do wonder if I’d be worrying this much if it wasn’t such a difficult journey to get to this point x

Hi @acaciabluebell, have been thinking about you too! How are you and where are you at with things? I hope today hasn’t been too hard on you, Mother’s Day last year was the lowest of the lows 💜

Things seem to be going ok. The sickness has been really bad but I’m hoping that will end soon. We have the 12 week scan on 6th April and I’m getting more and more anxious about it everyday but I’m trying to tell myself that the feeling sick is a good sign. Id like to think I’ll relax into a bit more after 12 weeks but knowing what it took to get to this point I’m not sure if I will! Have a bit of imposter syndrome I think x

@Riviera90 I am soooo happy for you, what wonderful news 🥰 I am doing well! I've had many a failed Letrozole cycle, but what can you do. Having a break from medication this month :)

@acaciabluebell hi, I just wanted to check in and see how you’re doing and I hope your body enjoyed the break this month? We sure put our bodies through a lot!

Sorry for the silence I’ve been struck hard by covid and ongoing sickness but I’m hoping I’m coming out the other side of it now! X

@Riviera90 Thank you for reaching out lovely! How are you? I hope everything is going well with you and baby ❤️❤️ I'm still not pregnant unfortunately 😥 In terms of updates we've been referred to the NHS IVF clinic and currently doing some further tests with them. Unfortunately my AMH came back really low, it was already low but it's now plummeted in the space of a year, so that's been really worrying and I'm not sure if we will qualify anymore for NHS funding. But going to wait and see. If all goes well hoping to start IVF this summer xx

@acaciabluebell Hi lovely, I’m sorry your AMH levels have come back low x will be keeping all of my fingers and toes crossed for you that you are still able to get NHS funding and start IVF asap! Are you able to find out from your AMH result now whether you qualify for funding or will you need to get the test done again when you’re at the next stage?
Thank you, all seems to be ok so far. We have our 20 week scan next week so the closer I get to it the more anxious I get! Hoping it all goes well and I feel more movement soon so that I can relax a bit.

I finally have a small update, which is that we're finally starting IVF. We've started the down-regulation stage. Hopefully this will finally be it for us...I really hope so!

Hello @acaciabluebell, it’s lovely to hear from you! I really really hope this it for you too 🤞🏻 So glad you are starting the process after what has been a very long wait! How you feeling about starting all the meds? Were you able to get funding?

yes I’m into my third trimester now 🤯 as you well know the months go by soo slowly when you’re trying but these last few months have been the quickest of my life! Not feeling mentally prepared as I still haven’t been able to get my head around the fact that we have a baby on the way. They think I’m measuring small so got to go for a growth scan tomorrow but at least it’s another chance to see her and hopefully get reassurance that everything’s ok x

@Riviera90 Hi lovely! How are you? So update on my end, I started my IVF stims injections on Tuesday, today is day 3 of stims. Hoping to have my egg collection near the end of August and transfer early September. We were able to get NHS funding, which is amazing.

How are you getting on? P.s when are you due? I can't remember if you mentioned!

ok! She’s measuring tiny so having growth scans every 2 weeks and they are probably going to induce me early 😬 really hoping she has a growth spurt and we get over the 10th centile so I don’t need to be induced! Due date is 18th October which seems so soon now!xx

Stims are okay, getting really sick of them now though! Been injecting 3x a day for 9 days so far and looks like I will need to keep at it for a while. Just have to keep reminding myself of my goal. I saw a really cute baby on the bus today on the way back from a disappointing scan and felt a renewed sense of hope xx

Just started more investigations after 3 miscarriages. I now currently work for the nhs and it seems like things are so different and they are now willing to help (I'm still young) we've been ttc 2+ years and just been prescribed progesterone and baby aspirin to start off

@Riviera90 How are you? Its been a while! I thought I would update you with some good news. I finally got my positive through IVF and I am due October this year 😊❤️

@Riviera90 Not sure if you use MN anymore but in case you check this page, I just wanted to let you know that my lovely daughter was born 6 weeks ago 😊❤️ I feel so blessed. Hope you and your little one are doing well x

@acaciabluebell That’s so strange I was thinking about you last week! I’m so sorry I missed your earlier update but that’s such amazing news!!! 🥹❤️ I’m so so happy for you x how are you finding things? It’s all such a whirlwind in those first few months that I almost find it hard to remember what life was like with a newborn. My little girl just turned one a couple of weeks ago, she started walking on Sunday and I’m back at work and she’s started nursery! So a lot of changes in a short space of time for us and we’re still adjusting but everything is going well x feel free to PM if you want to chat 😊 x
