A thread for those who are undergoing infertility investigations / IVF in Scotland 🙂

Thanks @GemmTryTTC we’ll be ok just gutting when all appointments for lining / weight etc were amazing. Our first FET and IVF so if anything, we know how it works (if you know what I mean?)

@Paige2207 That's the best way to see it, now you know exactly what to expect, hopefully the next time is the good one !

I'm ok, a bit anxious but all good. Waiting to see, hopefully we will get started at the end of May/June with my period then. Right now just waiting for the paperwork to get there, royalmail tracked service seems to be taking its time! Not what I need right now haha

@Paige2207 I'm so sorry.

Glad your doing ok, the wait is the worst! But knowing your getting started soon takes the edge off really isn’t long in the grand scheme of things. Are you doing anything in the meantime to busy yourself? I’m going to focus on getting healthier and losing some of the bloat by doing long walks again. So good for the head, weathers a bit iffy tho! 🤨 Got to love Scotland eh! 🤣 x

@Paige2207 I'm off on holidays next week, so hopefully we will go on walks and distract ourselves!

Hi @Labradormum thank you, your and everyone’s support means a lot. And couldn’t agree more being a great place to escape where we all just seem to get it ❤️

Just spoke to my mum and she was amazing and we had a laugh about how many saints she’s been praying too lately..she kept googling fertility saints and found there’s something like eight of them (including st nick..yes Santa!) and was howling visualising her praying to Santa each night 🤣 got to laugh I suppose!

How are you doing? Seen that you’ve set yourself some goals! Are you doing a specific fitness plan or just generally healthy eating and exercise? I’ve just weighed myself and have a few pounds to lose but gives me something to focus on. Trying to get my other half to eat better too..this is going to be a task haha!

I’m really sorry to hear about the BFN @Paige2207. The whole process is so hard.

Your mum sounds absolutely lovely. I’m glad she’s cheered you up a bit.

We are trying to be a bit healthier too! Think it’s easier in the spring and summer when there is less inclination to just be cosy and eat!

Yeah mums been amazing and she’ll always find a way to make us both laugh in the sad moments ❤️

Are you doing anything different health wise? I couldn’t have done any more leading upto IVF but have slipped up with the eating during the tww..so it’s a lesson learned for me. Think it’s all down to luck as well but maybe wrong x

@Paige2207 A bit nervous that they're going to tell me nothing's happening but also pleased to be moving another step forward either way. I also finish up work tomorrow lunch time so that'll be nice.

I'm sure it was nothing you did or didn't do. It's all really hard and a lot of it down to luck I agree. Just be kind to yourself. I've worked really hard at eating right and exercising since my mc last October but barely any weight has come off; it's something I'll go and see about if this time doesn't work, trying not to worry about it right now.

@Kamiros well I hope it goes well for you tomorrow and can totally relate about moving forward..I always feel better knowing when things are happening than when they will happen.

Yeah maybe, it’s early days and I have a habit of overthinking everything but it’s out of our control Oh I’m so sorry about your MC 💐 your so right how hard all of this is! And makes sense not to worry about that the now when you’ve got this to think about good luck again for tomorrow x

Morning all. So first scan did not go well. Only 1 follicle above 10. There are a few more but all tiny she said. Waiting on E2 and call from the clinic to see if we'll be allowed to continue for a few more days.

I started with Shelley Booth, trying it too see how I get on, it’s so far so good 😁

@Labradormum Yes first scan, day 5. Might be too early too tell, will need to see what they say later.

So I've to keep injecting for another 3 days then go back in. Fingers crossed they start to move!

Sorry @Paige2207. I missed your post! I’ve got a scan on Thursday to check a cyst and then our consent appointment a week on Tuesday. Guessing nurse appointment might be a little after that so could be a wee while for us yet. Hope you’re ok.

So the follicles were better today. 3 above 10, lead at 16. 2 more days of stims then another scan but looks like collection on Friday. Still not huge numbers but good chance considering my amh.
