I’m just hoping these tablets don’t send my weight shooting up I couldn’t cope 🤦🏼‍♀️

Just did my third injection and first one I have done myself. Total nightmare and I feel like I buggered it all right up. Couldn't get needle on for ages. Don't know why as I prepped it last night for my partner to do and it was all fine. Was paranoid about setting the epi pen and didn't feel there was anything in it 🙈
Managed to do it myself and then when I pulled out I noticed a little on the end still so stuck it back in. Gosh!
I recorded it also and it was an almost 6 min recording that's how long it took me. Gah.

@LabradorMum I didn't have any side affects from the tablet. Other than feeling a lot happier than normal? Like I'd break out in random hyper moments haha. Not sure if that was a side affect if the tablet or just me normally coming out

Awww @willithappen if read this can happen and it can be quite normal for a little to be left on the needle.

Lol that’s so funny I’ve heard people say it’s like PMT X 1000 😂

@LabradorMum I panicked there was too much in also so now I think I either injected nothing at all or double the dose haha. Gosh what an over think Inver

Oh maybe my PMS is just being hyper. Like I'd randomly break out into dance moves all by myself 😂

@willithappen completely understand why you've taken in another job, but also think you're mad 🤣. That's funny you say about being happy/hyper, I'd say I was the same. I put it down to feeling like I'm doing something and having hope again. Well done doing your first one. I'm not sure I could have if I had another option.

@LabradorMum I didn't put on any weight with it, but also didn't manage to lose while on it. Was stressed going in about being up, especially after a nightshift but didn't even weigh me.

What a carry on I had with myself tonight 🤦 Said I was going to pee and tried to do injections quickly. I couldn't get the needles on the syringe, pushed it before I should have and lost some so got out the spare one and made that up. Gave the injection fine but forgot to put the cap on it and jabbed my finger with it while tidying up 🤦 Think if I was at home I'd have struggled but been calm. Tomorrow should be fine....I hope. Injection wasn't any worse than the Gonal-F but was raised and itchy after. Not sure if that was cause I was rushing, or maybe is because of the alcohol wipe. At least I only have to do it once more at work.

@pixelflower sounds like how I was last night doing it myself too! Also a little worried as I'm no longer bloated today or feeling pressure on my ovary like I was the last two days. I'm almost certain I injected what was needed though even though a lil bit of my brain is telling me I didn't. Because I saw some at the tip when I pulled it back out, a minuscule drop and the pen was down at zero

Not looking forward to putting that second one together tomorrow night!

@willithappen I'm sure you'll be fine, just take your time. It's all a bit fiddly and taking caps off different bits.

@pixelflower gonna find a YouTube video for it and try follow along as I think I'll feel a lot more confident that way

@willithappen just the same really. Think I'm starting to feel a bit if pressure from things but not sure if that's what's causing it. I know it's still early days but I thought I'd quite quickly feel hormonal but think more emotionally stable than I have been in a while. Watch me have a massive breakdown after saying that 🤦

Hi everyone, I was active ages ago on the initial thread (it was me who started it, but name changed 🤣). Sorry I've not been about for a bit, just needed a break from it - constantly thinking about this had become all consuming, whilst waiting forever on it all starting. Well looks like I'm finally getting started, got my ART appointment in 4 weeks! It really doesn't feel real. I also have 7lbs to lose to get under the BMI requirement, that's doable, right? 😅

I see some of you are just about to start or are going through treatment just now - best of luck!

So anyone done or doing gonal f can you help?? I have the 900 iui pen and I set it to 150 iui but it didn't look like the grey section in the pen moved. It looked set to inject me with the full 900 so I panicked and didn't use that pen. I had 150 left in the other pen but for some reason I thought it looked empty to start so I tried the 900 one. Cue panic of me thinking I wasn't going to be able to inject anything. Managed to get out the 300 one that had 150 left but now that's both my 300 pens done so I'm left with the 900 which I think may be faulty but I'm maybe over thinking. Anyone used their 900 pen and remember if the tube section moves to show only 150?

Hi all, hope everyone is doing well, sounds like lots going on! I was also lurking around the previous thread but hadn't visited in a while and just seen that a new thread had been created.

I just finished my 3rd IUI and it didn't work so we're moving to IVF. Said we'd give 3 a go and move to IVF if it didn't work and doctor agreed.

We're with GCRM, imagine a few others are as well?

Had my AMH and ovarian scan yesterday. Some good news and some not so good, lots of follicles and AMH in the 40s (I just turned 31 and apparently that number is in the higher but still expected range for my age). Waiting to get my official 'results' for both.

Not so good news is that I have a large subserosal fibroid on top of my uterus, measuring 10cm by 5cm. Sonograoher did an abdominal ultrasound as well as transvaginal when she noticed the fibroid which was difficult to see transvaginally. It was quite scary seeing it especially in comparison to my uterus, it just seemed so huge.

So a nervy wait until middle of next week when we have a call with the doctor to talk about the scan and AMH findings. Terrified I'm going to need surgery to remove the fibroid but no idea whether that's necessary or because it's subserosal (so doesn't interfere with the uterus itself) means we can go ahead with IVF.

Hope things are coming along well for those of you in the midst of your treatment and the wait isn't too excruciating for those waiting (I feel like every part of this process is just wait after wait after wait)

@itsmschanandlerbong great to have you back 😊 Four weeks! It'll be here before you know it. Totally can lose 7lbs by then 😊

@willithappen I've never actually looked at the tube apart from trying to see which one I've already started ( cause I've been taking two to work). I was going to ask how many boxes of Cetrotide do you have?

@ally99101 Welcome 😊 Sorry you're having to move to IVF and had such a mixed bag of news at the scan. There really is so much waiting in all of this. I'm actually enjoying the injections cause I only have to wait 24hours between each thing instead of days or weeks 🤦

@pixelflower I called clinic to confirm as I had a right panic haha

I think I have seven boxes of that? I'm not home right now so not 100% sure. If my predicted date of egg collection on 26th is correct I won't have enough of gonal f to do me until then as I only have the 900 pen left

@willithappen do you feel better now since talking to them? Because I had to discard one I'm going to run out, but wonder if they give you a top up at the scan. By the way last night that went so much better with the Cetrotide. Took my time, no issues and no irritation. I'm terrible, I didn't even notice they were different amounts till I looked this morning 🤦

@pixelflower yeah much better! Last night was just pure paniiiic lol.

Adding my second one in tonight 😭 gonna watch a couple YouTube videos first. Think the thing that scares me most is making sure the air bubbles are out lol

It apparently doesn't matter much about air bubbles with subcutaneous injections. The main issue would be not getting a full dose but because we're not drawing up and measuring the dose that shouldn't be an issue.

Due to inject at 7pm ish so away to go try prepare the second one now. Think I will do this one first and gonal f second

Got the second one done! A lot scarier than the other just because of the fiddly bits and it did feel a lot nippier. Almost makes me love the gonal f one because of how much easier that seems/feels.
Had a tiny bit of blood once it was pulled out. Made my partner do it because I couldn't cope 🙈😂
Now have a little rash area and slightly itchy around it. Hoping the rash eases off soon

@willithappen it does feel like a bigger deal 😶 Wonder if it's a common reaction the first time. I had a rash the first night but nothing last night.

I'm feeling good really. That's me on holiday now so can try and relax. Nerves about the scan will probably hit tomorrow. How are you doing?

@pixelflower I have heard that the rash symptoms ease off after doing it more. My rash has gone now, took about just over an hour for it to go completely, have a little bruise from where the needle went in still though! Been trying to take plenty pics and videos (not enough of those though only taken two) to try document this for myself

I'm eager for it to be Friday already as I wanna see how I'm getting on! Also worried about being an OHSS risk so keen to get that first monitor out the way and see.
I'm sure you'll be fine lovely! Have you had any other side affects at all? I can't remember if you said but did they tell you how much folicile you had at your baseline?

@willithappen After me saying that I reacted again tonight, it's like the left side is more sensitive 😂. I had to do three tonight cause that's my first Gonal f pen done so had to top it up.
Don't think I've had anything, but suppose it's a lower dose. Trying not to worry about under or over stimulating 🤦 I had 17 one side and at least 12 the other, she said there might be more she couldn't see properly. I've hardly taken any photos, and I set up an Instagram for this too 😂
How are you with the side effects?

@pixelflower what dose of gonal f are you on?

I had 17 follicles on both sides and need an extra scan cause of that. I have been a little bit bloated and can feel pressure in my left ovary similar to what I feel around ovulation time anyway

I'm on 150, she said at the scan she thought it would be 150 but could be higher.
That's why I think that you're at the low end of at risk, only a difference of 5 and on the same dose, but she never mentioned OHSS or extra scan.
Now and again I think I feel something then wonder if I'm just hyper aware and it's just cause I moved funny or ate too much bread 😂

@pixelflower ah gotcha. I'm 150 also but I got two 300 pens and 1 900 pen so divided out evenly so won't need any too ups
Nice little bruise where the second one went in shown up this morning 🙈 eager for it to be tomorrow already now just to find out!
