Has anyone else got these unhelpful threads in Infertility?

I've tried to attach an image.
The top thread is called "Expecting a baby" and the bottom thread is "Share your stories about your children's favourite toys".
In between are plenty of threads from people going through the pain of Infertility.
That's pretty poor Mumsnet.

Looking for support as I face another childless (clearly not by choice) Christmas and this is what I find.

I know some women are here due to secondary infertility and their children might have favourite toys but 4 Christmases ago I was on my first IVF round and many more since and no child. So could do without these showing up on this topic.

I know some people won't be bothered by this but I imagine I'm not the only one who is.

Oh now I've got:
Sign up for Mumsnet's weekly pregnancy updates - what you need to know, when you need to know it. Hmm

Yes I have it too and I agree it's probably not intentional but feels pretty inappropriate? Can we speak to someone to maybe change the adds on the infertility forums specifically?

soniamumsnet · 04/12/2020 16:50

Hi @LongerthanMrTicklesarms just popping in to say that this ad won't appear within that section any more. Sorry for upset caused. Flowers

Scirocco · 04/12/2020 16:50

I get those too. It's really upsetting. The "week by week" update ones are the worst for me as it just makes me think of where I'd be with our last pregnancy if things hadn't gone wrong...

Scirocco · 04/12/2020 16:51

They also pop up in the miscarriage section of the site...

Scirocco · 04/12/2020 16:53

Attached (hopefully)

Yes I agree , they need to monitor where these are placed , they are triggering

LongerthanMrTicklesarms · 04/12/2020 17:10

@Scirocco 💐 that's an awful reminder, hoping that they will be removed from there too.

I just felt today that I'd have a read of this part of the site and maybe connect with people who get how difficult it all is.
Sorry you're all here too.

It’s still appearing at the top of the forum for me.

SheepytheDuck · 04/12/2020 20:58

Yeah it disappeared earlier, but now it’s back.

LongerthanMrTicklesarms · 04/12/2020 22:08

Yes it is back for me too.
@soniamumsnet could you have a look into it please?

Scirocco · 04/12/2020 23:22

Back again for me too.

This really needs to be sorted out.

Roo45 · 05/12/2020 10:05

@soniamumsnet back for me too... A specific Mumsnet as for 'week by week pregnancy update' is really the last thing someone who's just failed an IVF cycle/ had a miscarriage needs to see when they are signing on to an infertility forum. Please could you look into it

Roo45 · 05/12/2020 10:06

*Mumsnet ad

VenusStarr · 05/12/2020 12:33

Still there for me too @MNHQ

LongerthanMrTicklesarms · 05/12/2020 16:04

The 'week by week pregnancy update' is still here and also on the miscarriage/ pregnancy loss and adoption boards.

Hello everyone - we're so sorry about this. We've blocked these ads from appearing now - has anyone seen one in the last hour or so?

Sunshinelove8 · 05/12/2020 17:34

Still there unfortunately

YetAnotherBeckyMumsnet · 05/12/2020 17:43

Thanks so much, @Sunshinelove8. We are investigating why these ads continue to appear as they should not be getting through our filters. We can't apologise enough for the distress caused.

LongerthanMrTicklesarms · 05/12/2020 18:38

Yes still appearing on here and the miscarriage and adoption boards.

YetAnotherBeckyMumsnet · 05/12/2020 20:25

Hello again. We've checked again and these ads are definitely blocked - but it might take a little while for this to take effect on your page. Please let us know if you continue to see them in the coming days. Thank you.

WhatKatyDidNxt · 07/12/2020 11:47

@LongerthanMrTicklesarms l completely agree, l really don’t need to see those adverts!

LongerthanMrTicklesarms · 20/12/2020 23:22

Now we've got Infertility topic sandwiched between threads on what we should be doing all day with our baby and asking if it's okay to leave them with someone else.

@soniamumsnet @YetAnotherBeckyMumsnet
Can you see the thread where someone is considering coming off social media for Christmas? Could these boards be a safe space please for those struggling with Infertility?
