OP posts:
Needtotalkivf19 · 25/02/2020 20:21

Can I join please, I had transfer on Yesterday and it already feels like ages ago, this is my first cycle so any tips on making the wait go quicker would be great.
I’ve been given the 5th March has my test date, which seem early compared to others when is everyone’s else test date??

justkeeprunning5 · 25/02/2020 20:33

Hi there, I was on the Jan / Feb thread. Transfer 5 day blast (FET) was on 18 Feb, OTD is 29 Feb. This is my second transfer. Three full days to go! Terrified!

Adri83 · 25/02/2020 21:20

Hi @justkeeprunning5 I was too. As I said before the wait is torture but you're almost there! Don't be terrified and definitely don't be scared of getting your hopes high 😀 is part of life, take it all in and enjoy the ride, I'm sure you'll get what you wish for! Tones of baby dust for you!

@Needtotalkivf19 Hi and welcome! I had a 2 day transfer; 1 mature follicle, 1 egg and luckily 1 embryo. I'm on my 6dp2dt and I have no more nails to bite 😅 my OTD is on the 4th!
Netflix is my best friend, I'm a home stay wife so killing time is really hard for me, today I meal prep. For the rest of the week lol (I never do that), played Candy Crush, walked dog twice, watched YouTube and now (as we speak) watching Netflix, this film called Before I Fall.
How many days after your EC you had your ET? If you were 5dt I reckon your OTD falls on 15dpo?? If so I don't think is early, mine is 16dpo.

As far as symptoms goes I think my body is getting used to them as I only feel mild cramps after pessaries (2 a day), but until Sunday I was feeling like AF was coming (lower back ache, bloated, cramps, mega hungry) what about you guys?

CupcakeEater · 25/02/2020 21:32

Thanks for starting the new thread @41trying

@Adri83 you are totally right , what will be will be regardless and 6dp2dt is super early. My symptoms have been minimal throughout really (even though I am looking for and analysing every small symptom via Dr Google).

Welcome @Needtotalkivf19. This is my second cycle but first TWW so I cannot offer much advice for making the time go quickly. I have made some casual plans every few days or so to keep me distracted. My OTD is 29th Feb which will be 12dp5dt.

@justkeeprunning5 I am nervous also with Saturday getting ever closer! Hoping for the best but I do feel a bit better knowing I'll have the whole weekend if it's bad news before going back to work on Monday.

justkeeprunning5 · 25/02/2020 22:05

I’m also happier that it’s fallen on a weekend @CupcakeEater. At least it’s two days to get my poker face back to normal before returning to work.

My husband keeps telling me off for being negative so I’ve tried to be more upbeat today. As far as symptoms go I’ve had a bit of bloating, some twinges in my back / around ovaries and the odd small headache / tired spell. The twinges are similar to AF but I don’t tend to get pain in advance of that (strange for someone with Endo!) so I hope it’s just something else. All very unremarkable - and no sore boobs!

Hufflepuff1 · 25/02/2020 22:11

Hello 👋 can I join too? Currently 4dp5dt and also feeling no symptoms. This is my first FET cycle and I'm praying it works 🤞
OTD is 5th March, baby dust to all 💜

Apatosaurus20 · 25/02/2020 22:59

Thank you for the new thread @41trying

Needtotalkivf19 · 26/02/2020 07:14

Good morning
@Hufflepuff1 I am a 2dp5dt so just a few days behind you, my test date is also the 5th March. It can not come soon enough lol.

@CupcakeEater Thankyou for your welcome, I have also tried to make sure I’ve planned a few things in I’ve true next week to try help me keep my mind off it but I’m so tried at the moment all I want to do is lay down when I have time to. Not much longer for you to wait now at least, have you been tempted to test early??

@Adri83 thanks for your reply, I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one who’s spending they time watching Netflix 😂😂 I do have to go back to work tomorrow tho, which I’m not looking forward to :( I had transfer 5day after egg collection so I’m only 2dp5dt but I’m trying to stay positive and tell myself it’s only a week tomorrow.
I go to my clinic for a blood test on morning of my OTD what is everyone else doing, I’ve heard most place give home tests. Which may have been easier has my clinic just over two hours away.
Hope you all have a great day xx

Adri83 · 26/02/2020 10:03

@justkeeprunning5 back in 2007 I was diagnosed with endo and had 2 tennis ball sized cysts removed since then until I started ttc almost 3 years ago, I've was on the pill. I think it took around 6 months for my body to get "normal" and then I started bleeding almost every month during ovulation time, it was almost like I had 2 periods in on month, crazy. And then endo symptoms came back. Went to my dr and indeed, I had some endometriomas growing, then disappearing and the growing again.
During the time of my scans I had 1 endometrioma on my right ovary and during ALL THIS TIME I haven't got not one endo symptom 🤷‍♀️ in my case I reckon it might be because I started on Buserelin? Idk but we are on the same boat, no endo but only meds symptoms.

@Needtotalkivf19 I also got a home test from my clinic, and told me to call them on the day regardless the result. Have you considered testing on the day before getting your bloods?

7dp2dt this is soooo slowww 😅😅😅

Sabz36 · 26/02/2020 12:02

Hi Ladies

I am 2dp5dt and imaging everything. My test date appears to be forever away and I am dying to test. Today I decided that I am being ridiculous and have started to practice relaxation techniques as otherwise the world with end.

How is everyone managing their time constructively

Adri83 · 26/02/2020 14:55

Hi @Sabz36 7dp2dt here! I am constructively managing my time by testing every day lol I started testing 2 days ago and since then every morning, so far BFN (as expected) but it kinda takes the anxiety away. Personally, testing doesn't play with my mind as I am very aware that no matter what the early result might be, my OTD results won't vary.

CupcakeEater · 26/02/2020 15:10

@justkeeprunning5 I think of it more as self preservation. It's good to be positive if you can. I guess I kind of feel like I'd jinx it if I got too carried away thinking it's worked even though I know that realistically there's nothing I can do to change the outcome. I've also had a handful of period type cramps late last night and earlier this morning but I don't normally get these in the run up to my period.

Welcome and good luck @Hufflepuff1.

@Needtotalkivf19 I have been tempted to test, especially when seeing some of the early results on here but I think I'd question any result before OTD too much. It's weird that different clinics have differing test dates though. I have a home test and if I get a BFP I think they follow up with a blood test to confirm.

I've mainly been netflixing during the TWW too! @Sabz36 I've been doing a 20min relaxation mindfulness session everyday to try and keep calm not sure it's helping.

Apatosaurus20 · 26/02/2020 20:03

Hello and welcome 👋🏻 @Needtotalkivf19 @Adri83 @Hufflepuff1

@Sabz36 I have so far thrown away everything out of date hidden at the back of my kitchen cupboards, and been through all of my bathroom units getting rid of any old stuff, today I went through a huge pile of magazines I’ve been hoarding...so if nothing else by the end of this my house should be de cluttered 😂 I’m planning to do my sock drawer and shoe box over the weekend!

@CupcakeEater @Adri83 and @needtotalkivf19 any Netflix recommendations? I haven’t watched this much tv since I was a teenager and need to line up some more viewing for the rest of this hideous wait 🙃

Apatosaurus20 · 26/02/2020 20:06

@Sabz36 I have a pack of blank post cards and was contemplating entering a load of online competitions tomorrow whilst I’m hanging about, never know if all else fails I might at least end up with a free holiday 😁

Sabz36 · 26/02/2020 20:06

I've managed to complete 3 assignments for uni and everything in my task folder at work. Who knew distraction could be so helpful at fulfilling all duties lol.

I tried Netflix but all that choice leads to distraction

Adri83 · 26/02/2020 23:20

@Apatosaurus20 be happy to help!! But I need you to please tell me how many free hours ish a day you have to watch tele? What genre you like? (Thriller, romantic, romcom, drama, etc). And last but not least, would you prefer English language or you could do subs?
I'm a home stay wife so I kinda have time to watch a lot of Netflix so hopefully I can recommend something you would enjoy!

Apatosaurus20 · 27/02/2020 09:51

@Adr83 I can watch subs unless I’m trying to eat 😂 and I think I watch almost anything except for horror!

How is everyone getting on? I am 6dp2dt today and feeling a bit more chilled about stuff but was having cramps yesterday which had me googling again (wish I could stop myself)...and it seems that this could be 1) positive 2) negative or 3) just the meds 🤦🏼‍♀️🙈 arghhhh. I also read somewhere that having cold feet is bad...my feet are always cold 🥶 I’m not sure my uterus knows that though 🤷🏼‍♀️

Anyways good luck everyone for another day in the TWW 💫

Adri83 · 27/02/2020 10:33

TinnedPearsForPudding · 27/02/2020 16:03

Hi, joining from the previous post too. I'm 3/4 through the TWW after a day 3 transfer of 2 AA embryos. The temptation to test every time I wee is awful. Not sure how I'll hold out till the blood test on Monday

Woodcottage1 · 27/02/2020 16:13

I’m 7 day post 5 day transfer. I tested this morning, was negative, this I pure torture x

Yorkshirehope · 27/02/2020 16:40

Joining the TWW - had ET today so test day 11th March. Third time for us (and 41) do fingers and toes crossed. Two transferred but not great quality ( albeit first two rounds were great quality and didn’t work so trying to ignore that bit)

Hatawa83 · 27/02/2020 18:29

Hi ladies, joining as well. OTD is next week Friday though I have no intention of waiting that long 😂 this waiting around is driving me mad already and I only had ET yesterday! Ah @Yorkshirehope I remember you from another thread. Crossing everything for you Xx

Hufflepuff1 · 27/02/2020 18:33

@Hatawa83 when do you plan on testing? And why is ur test date so early! Mine seems so long in comparison x

CupcakeEater · 27/02/2020 18:45

@Apatosaurus20 I'd recommend "Don't F**k with Cats" and "Unbelievable"

@TinnedPearsForPudding have you got anything planned over the weekend to distract you?

Welcome @Woodcottage1, hopefully it was too early. Will you test again before OTD?

Welcome @Yorkshirehope, I also had two transferred and not great quality. Fingers crossed they stick for you.

Welcome @Hatawa83, when are you planning to test?

Not much to report here today, a few more period type cramps and otherwise no symptoms.

Hatawa83 · 27/02/2020 19:21

@Hufflepuff1 my clinic recommends day 9-12 so you can test day 9 but they recommend testing on day 11 as well to be sure then follow with bloods if positive. Tbh day 9 + 5 day transfer is two weeks which is about the time post ovulation that many women (conceiving naturally) would have a missed period and do a hpt so I find it spot on and have always had a result on day 8 sooo I shall be testing on Wednesday next week, because I can 😂 I’ll also test thurs and likely have bloods on Friday and the following Monday if those two are positive as I don’t see the point in delaying news that it’s another chemical or otherwise not a good climb in hcg... which for me has 3 times resulted in a MC. So bored of wasting time waiting for bad news and as this is our last round ever, I just want to get to the bottom of it ASAP and move on which ever way it goes.
