Anyone else awaiting fertility referral?

Hi all,

Been ttc (unsuccessfully!) for over a year and just found out there's a problem with DH sperm (low mobility and zero normal forms), so awaiting referral to fertility clinic to seek further help/advice.

Just wondered if there's anyone else in a similar situation about to embark on this journey too?

Also similar success stories welcome :) x

@Morpho123 if it helps I don't think mine was done on a particular day. They have never asked me what cycle day I am on actually, not even when doing my HyCoSy

I had a very much well deserved glass of wine tonight. :) I would never thought trying to conceive would be this difficult. DTD is not fun for us anymore, we are doing it just to get pregnant, I think deep down both of us are feeling the pressure. I probably have to take a break and stop monitoring my ovulation for a cycle.

I wasn't gonna post or mention this but it was so strange so last night was the first time I have ever had a dream where I got a positive pregnancy test. In my dream I had done a digi and three first responses and all positive. The first thing I did in my dream was come on here to tell @morpho123 to give you positive encouragement that it could happen with low morphology!

If only it was true! I don't know whether to laugh or cry from it

@willithappen I really appreciate the fact the first thing you wanted to do was tell me 😂 let’s hope your dream comes true! Keep positive! 🤞🏽🤞🏽 One of us will get lucky with the low morphology soon surely! X

So clinics are allowed to reopen week beginning 11th May. My NHS won't though because they have turned the building into Covid testing centre.

Good news! Fingers crossed that clinics can get through that application process fairly easily. I looked up my clinics website and they are planning to apply and open as soon as HFEA say that they can and are going to be contacting everyone who had appointments to get those up and running again!

Thanks @Chochaw for sharing the reopening news! My clinic had another zoom meeting with us at noon, obviously that was before the HFEA announcement. They seem to be positive about opening soon.

I hope you have a nice weekend. Today is my daughters 1st birthday and tomorrow is my birhday so we will be celebrating.

I had 2 friends send me links to say clinics are opening yesterday. It was lovely to see them thinking of me when they heard the news. Our private clinic is reopening for tests and consultations. I have thought so hard about what to do and I think I am going to wait it out an extra few months and pray for a miracle. I have another month of clomid so will take that if I need to and hopefully in that time i will get another NHS update. We have money put away for treatment but I would also like to buy a bigger house so the money would be amazing for that.

I had a phone reading from a psychic lady last night. I am a big pessimist but this lady has been amazing in the past and it was only £10 so I thought it couldn't hurt. She said I have a daughter and another baby in spirit. Told me stuff about families health and gave some good solid names of people in my life so habe to say I was convinced again. The very 1st thing she said was January is going to be an important month for you and near the end she told me that she sees a baby very soon then she said she had to pull another card because it was jumping out at her and it said on it dreams come true. I don't think I mentioned anything about another baby and she doesn't know me or have access to my social media. I'd like to believe it! Let's hope it is true for a lot of us. X

Well technically @Chochaw if she’s correct then if you got pregnant this cycle, your baby would be due in January...... I’m so hoping she’s right for you 🤞🏽 I’m really into stuff like that but I’m never sure if it’s true or not, but as soon as they mention things you can understand or certain names, then I’m sold. Praying she’s right for you!

Really great news about the clinics reopening, I've seen so many excited people in the Instagram community. Hopefully some of you can get moving again quickly!
Still think it will be a while before all NHS testing/ investigations recommence :( My husband is meant to have his 2nd SA this month but can't see that happening as my hospital is doing loads of covid testing. Thinking about getting my AMH and day 3 tests done private via medichecks, an online company who send the tests out and you post samples back, anyone done this or similar? NHS would probably just want to repeat the day 3 one anyway. Not sure if it will be helpful to know my AMH or just panic me if it's low!

Sorry I'm not sure on your backstory, did you have treatment to conceive her? It's so hard to know what the right thing to do in the long run is at the moment isn't it.

Thank you we had a lovely day. It has been so sunny here so had a BBQ with just us 3 and played outside. We had DD last year after our 2nd IUI-unexplained infertility 3 years trying. TTC #2 now. X

CD22, 8 days till AF due for me. Just been to bathroom and had one clot of blood. I never normally bleed between periods. Implantation bleed? Scared to get my hopes up. X

My fingers are crossed for you. I think I’m 4dpo today, keeping myself busy. Been furloughed from work until 1st July! I’m taking it as a positive, I’m being paid, I’m relaxing and I’ll get my ivf appointments in before I go back which means I won’t worry about time off work!! X

@Chochaw could I be a pain and ask for details also?

Well the wicked witch arrived for me today. It's a lighter period and I have a feeling it will only last one day but it's definitely more than an implantation bleed. So the sore back and the dream led to nothing.
However, I emailed my clinic this morning to see if they were planning to do NHS also when they re-open. They asked me for my CHI number and then emailed me back after saying they have booked a video appointment for me for two weeks today. So this appointment is just to confirm dp has stopped smoking and then we will be going on the waiting list. My appointment was initially meant to be 28th April so overall it's knocked us off three weeks.
So I'm taking this as a positive and something to focus on. I'll just have to keep an eye on what waiting lists/times are looking like and how everyone else is as this was the position we were in anyway but I'm really glad things are progressing again!

@willithappen when sure you due AF? Implantation bleed can last for a few days. I am doubtful too because I am only 5 dpo so it seems early for an implantation bleed. My back is sore today also. That's great your clinic is opening again.

@Morpho123 that's great you will get a chance to relax. Asking for time off for appointment is a nightmare. I am beginning to get worried about going back into a classroom and working. I honestly don't see how we can do social distancing in a school. If I do get pregnant does that put me as a 'shielded' person? Working from home is hard and I do a lot more than my hours when I am actually in the classroom but at least I know I am safe.

@Chochaw yeah it's bangs on due today so pretty sure it's it an not implantation. If I didn't get that email from my clinic today I would be taking this really bad but I have more hope now as something to look forward to. I know the wait will be long but I will feel much better once I know we are on that waiting list

I have 6 days till AF due and I am having signs of pregnancy but they are all probably phantom signs. I've convinced myself that this is the month. Had headaches, heartburn and a little nausea and also crazy sex dreams! So vivid 🤣x
