@dragonfly1978 is this your first cycle on Clomid, you've probably said but I've forgotten 🙈

@dragonfly1978 I really hope so! We dtd 5 times in fertile window this month - the last two cycles the first month we dtd once before ovulation and the second month twice. So a lot more this month so fingers crossed 🤞🏻

@CharlotteCx yes my first cycle!! Haven't ovulated in two and half years!

@dragonfly1978 oh wow! Well good luck - they say that if you ovulate on your first cycle your likely to ovulate on all your Clomid cycles.

Eeekkk @dragonfly1978 how exciting yes definitely looks positive to me ❤️
If you can tonight then great if not tomorrow would be good as it may be tomorrow that you actually ovulate. X

Foreign chemicals but yes the cause of so many issues is the contraceptives that they put us on. Never again will I go back on anything, our bodies arent designed to process them but I'll end there before I go on a rant 😂 @CharlotteCx x

How many cycles are you having @dragonfly1978 ? X

Report

@carleygh tell me about it, I can rant about it all day long too! Na I'll never go on anything again either. Noooo way! I so regret putting that shit into my body but at the age of 16 I didn't really know what I was doing!

I went a bit AWOL this month just been focusing on my diet and exercise and work has been absolutely bonkers. If anyone’s considering the ovusense I’d recommend it seems really accurate so far and so much easier to use than manually temping. I got my positive OPK today so hopefully by Friday the ovusense will confirm ovulation 🤞🏽
As for IVF and BMI @CharlotteCx in our healthboard if you’re BMI is over 30 they will say to come back in 6 months and be reweighed but they don’t do IVF over it. And for smoking if your husband smokes around you your carbon monoxide levels are measured before IVF (in our healthboard anyway) and if it’s elevated you won’t be eligible either

They just encourage it 🙄 my friends nan goes off on one about it all she used to be a nurse and says this is what is destroying all of our bodies there are so many more issues like endo PCOS etc etc now than there ever was @CharlotteCx

@Goingbacktokansascity I hope you're ok. Ovusense sounds good how do you use it? I'm going to google :-)

@carleygh I’ve never used hormone contraception I’ve only used barrier methods and while I think all medication (including what we are taking now) has side effects and consequences. I think the biggest cause of increased PCOS is obesity and poor diet. It’s the biggest health crisis our generation is facing, it increases risks of all cancers, stroke, heart attack, dementia, everything. At medical school my dissertation was on the effect of sedentary lifestyle on health and it was unbelievable

@carleygh I have three cycles but could go back and get three more she said if it didn't work.

I completely agree re the pill, that is the only reason I have had problems, my consultant has said there isn't anything else wrong at all but the pill has mucked next up! She is hoping Clomid kick starts everything for me 🤞

Oh my gosh I bet, I find things like that so interesting @Goingbacktokansascity including the amount of processed rubbish people put in their bodies 🤢

I'm damn sure that's the reason I'm here to @dragonfly1978 spent the past five years at the doctors getting fobbed off for no periods and now look at the situation 🙄

Excited that you got a positive @dragonfly1978 - so good it worked first time too, took me 3 goes before I ovulated this month, I just needed a higher dose. Annoying that I feel like I've wasted two cycles, but never mind!

I've got my progesterone bloods tomorrow, so fingers crossed for a nice high number!

@Beth804 well anything over 30 is a good number. My second month was 38.5 and I was abit pissed off that it was lower than my first 61.7, but as the nurse said but their over 30 so it's shown ovulation! 30 is the magic number

@CharlotteCx 👍 That's what I'll be looking for! I just hope I get the results as normal, as the hospital gave me a blood bag with their details on. Hope they'll still upload them on my doctors app 🤔

@Beth804 oh that's weird, who's doing the bloods, your drs?

Report
CharlotteCx · 10/12/2019 10:53

I'm not sure on when to go for my bloods saying that. I'm 99.9% sure I ovulated Friday - progesterone peaks 6-8 days after ovulation I know but my boobs are SO sore. Which makes me think that my progesterone levels are high already, should I go for my bloods today? I'm CD20, 4DPO.

Report
Beth804 · 10/12/2019 11:32

@CharlotteCx I would go Friday, levels won't be high enough yet

@CharlotteCx Yes, docs are doing bloods, but ordered by the hospital x

@Beth804 Ask your drs where the results will go, see I have my bloods done at local hospital and my bloods are requested by my drs so the results go to my drs but be careful if there requested by hospital because the hospital won't give your results over the phone because of data protection so you'd have to wait until your next appt to get your results x

Yeah I did think that but just thought cos my boobs are so sore already my progesterone must be high 🤷🏻‍♀️

@CharlotteCx My next appointment is a week tomorrow so not too bad if I have to wait I suppose- I'm just so impatient for EVERYTHING! 😂😩
