Hi there

First time on this site. I am 43, and hoping to start IVF next year (i have to have a procedure to remove fibroids first...) and I want to go abroad but am overwhelmed by the number of clinics. I was thinking Spain.

Does anyone have any experience or recommendations for clinics in Spain?

thanks

@beth she will not fall preg naturally. She doesn't ovulate. She can't get clomid due to weight. She can't adopt due to partner smoking

She wants to be a mum and I think she would be a fab one

But

She won't try de

I was desperate to me a mum and as I said previously it took me 10yrs and 5 ivf. We only continued as had frozen from cycle 3

If we had none we would have tried de

That's what I don't get is why someone who so wants to be a Mum won't even try

But as I said we are all diff and in the end her choice

@cool. Fab having 6 frozen from donor sounds much more positive and if fails (hope not) then you can try again

Sorry I don't mean to sound blasé

Also have you had an era - it's when hey test the lining and see how receptive you are

Some ladies need another day or two of hormones

For my successful fet I ended up having over a week more as away on holiday - may have been why successful - or maybe a total fluke

Isla please go away with your advertising. They’re not good there, they’re as dodgy as hell which is why people like you troll these threads pretending to be patients of the clinic in order to advertise them.

On another thread you’ve apparently haven’t yet had the treatment in the Ukraine, you’re not even advertising well if you can’t keep your fake story consistent.

Coolchick11 · 13/11/2017 23:42

Unfortunately blonde this is our last attempt my scan tomorrow which I'm pretty nervous about keep up with the lovely stories it's keeping me calm in my journey

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/11/2017 15:05

Would you not use the other frozen ones ?

Or have I misunderstood your last reply

Hope scan shows all is good x

Coolchick11 · 14/11/2017 15:55

Couple years time maybe but not straight away as the money issue for us at the moment x

Coolchick11 · 14/11/2017 16:18

I'm bit confused I got a follicle measuring 18mm it happened also last time and he passed it and went for transfer so should be the same x

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/11/2017 19:57

YEp. It’s a cost. WE put last 2 fets on credit card as time was running out for me agewise

Transfered at 42 (just lol) - found out was preg just after 43 and was 44 3.5mths after giving birth

Coolchick11 · 14/11/2017 21:34

Just to let you know I had a failed cycle so not going to Spain for transfer hoping to go in December x

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/11/2017 22:15

Sorry to hear that 💐💐💐

All crossed for next month x

Coolchick11 · 17/11/2017 13:03

Thanks for all your kind words all appreciated x

jimmyandalex · 03/05/2018 09:58

Hi sghan
I wonder how did you cycle go? I am now considering Institut Marquès in Barcelona and also one clinic in Malaga. Which one did you choose? Did they help you with flights and acommodation. Thanks. Alex,

Cutesbabasmummy · 18/05/2018 13:11

IVI Alicante worked second time for us. Really good experience xx

Happylucyloo · 19/11/2018 07:18

Hi coolchick11

I’m planned on doing DE at IVI Madrid.
Please tell me about your experience with them?

I went for first consultation last week now waiting on results for both me and my husband
I’m concerned about the donor selection? Skin colour looking similar etc?
I feel nervous and very excited too!

Hope to start treatment in the next year 😀😀

Xx

Happylucyloo · 19/11/2018 13:30

@blondeshavemorefun
How did you find Ivi Madrid?
I’m about to go for DE icsi in January if all goes well with our results so far.. 😬😬
I was not sure of the clinic as it seemed like a big money making factory but I believe results are good ! ?
Any other words of encouragement would help 🤞

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/11/2018 15:15

Hi. Can’t comment on the de aspect as used my own eggs

But in all other ways the clinic was fantastic.

Yes more costly then others like reprofit or serum

I had my own Spanish contact who met my df and I every appas I sains. Even emailed regullary and would sit in all meetings and translates if anything we didn’t understand

As I said previously our 3rd fresh cycle end tho it failed we did have lots to freeze

Hence the 2 fets after

Compared to our UK clinic they are so much better on hygiene technology and just friendyness as well as totally professional

So please don’t worry

Good luck with de

And from friends who have used de - they try to match looks

Happylucyloo · 19/11/2018 15:28

@blondeshavemorefun thank you so much that is very encouraging .
Wonderful you had a good experience 😁
It’s so nerve racking I just pray for good results and going forward x

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/11/2018 15:54

I also think the mums dna gets through in looks as well

My friends own egg ivf child looks nothing like her yet her donor egg daughter is the spitting image of her - weird how DNA works

WIShing you good luck

Happylucyloo · 19/11/2018 19:47

@Blondeshavemorefun
That is extraordinary ! I would be so happy if my baby looks like me with DE 😍
Just pleased I have hopefully chosen the right clinic like you 🤞

Dosmamas · 01/01/2019 14:30

Hi ladies, any chance of reviving this thread? My partner and I are looking to use a Spanish clinic in either Murcia or Alicante, we have no idea where to start with this.

Do you go over in person for the first consult? We are wanting to try IUI first, with donor sperm. What are the costs like?

Stats! TTC one year, used known donor sperm AI with no luck. Same sex couple, been pregnant twice before, lost both pregnancy under 12 weeks through silent MC. 33 this year. Both have high BMI's, this is why we are using a clinic and not NHS funded (although we are going to try bring our BMI down this year and apply)

Hi
I’m potentially starting treatment at IVI Madrid soon.
I don’t have much feedback yet.
They seem professional ,the clinic is large and clinical not personal or friendly but they get good results and that is what counts.
My friend went to IVI Valencia for ED with her hubshand and just had a baby girl!
Good luck
Keep posting 😀

Lmagic · 15/01/2019 21:02

Hi, my husband and I went to Instituto Bernabau in Alicante, they are very good there. We initially used Bourne Hall in the UK who had links to the clinic in Alicante. I received egg donation there, had 6 fertilised embryos and have 2 FE remaining. We had 2 fresh embryos put back initially, both took but lost one at 7.5wks into the pregnancy. The following year we tried again with a FET but it failed and we're hoping to try again soon as I'm quite a bit older now so time is passing us by. We have a three and a half year old little girl from our fresh cycle 😊xx

Summer10000 · 13/08/2019 18:07

Hi, looking to go to Barcelona IVF to use a donor. Has anyone been to them or had a wonderful outcome? Thank you xx

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/08/2019 21:20

@Happylucyloo how did it go at ivi Madrid ?
