Reviews for Fertility Plus Clinic and Dr Amit Shah

Hi all,

I will be starting the IVF route shortly, and am new to mumsnet (first post actually). I was recommended me to Dr Amit Shah of Fertility Plus for IVF. However, I cant find any review online for either Dr Shah or the clinic itself. Their costs are quite high and I really would like all the information I can get before I commit.
Please is there anyone here who has either had experienced with one or both. I really would appreciate your assistance if you send me info here or privately.

Hello! Just saw this - I've been seeing Dr Shah's partner, Dr Gudi for about 4 years - I have a 2 year old daughter and am currently trying for number 2. I could not recommend him more highly - he is not only a brilliant doctor, but the most wonderful man. So kind and generous, positive without giving you false hope.. I've sent friends to him and they all adore him too. Go and see him!

I am looking for private fertility clinics in London and I am very new to mumsnet and it’s my first post.I was recommended to Dr. Anil Gudi at Fertility Plus and also a friend of mine recommended Dr Venkat at Harley street fertility clinic. However, I am really confused which one is better. I would really appreciate if someone can provide me with some information regarding these clinics. Please if there is anyone here who has experienced with one or both the clinics.I would really appreciate your help.

Hi, I am undergoing treatment with Dr. Gudi. I also booked my appointment previously with Dr. Shah but when I saw the reviews are for Dr. Gudi I changed my appointment with him.

Argh how are you finding dr gudi? Are you going via ivf by any chance?

Sorry I’m only asking because I’m currently with dr shah, and I’ll need to do ivf but haven’t seen any reviews for dr shah so I’m a little bit worried to get into such a costly process without any reviews.

Yes, he seems to be good and knowledgeable. I am also going through ivf route. Just had some tests and scans done till now but haven’t yet started with the ivf process. Can you change your appointment now with Dr. Gudi?

I don’t think so as I asked to change it in the past, I’m finding mr gudi really nice but my only concern are the reviews really.

What tests have you been asked to do? I asked today in my appointment and he said that it should be really quick as in I’ll just be getting the drugs and get it done.

Also, have you chosen the two cycles or just one?

I have some basic blood tests done and also chromosomal blood test as we are going for genetic embryo screening as well.Are you planning for genetic screening?

Hey I would quite like to have the genetic embryo screening done as well, but they said that we wouldn’t need it.

I’m not sure why? Do you know what’s the price difference? Are you having two cycles done Which is like £10.5k or have you gone for the conventional ivf which is £9k?

Also, have they booked you in for the egg retrieval? Are things moving fast?

Anyone have any experience yet with Amit shah? Would you recommend? Just looking for initial investigations. Thanks

Hi, I've seen Dr Shah for investigations. He's so lovely, really kind and very personable. I had a Hycosy with him last week and it really didn't hurt at all (although that might just be luck).

If my partner's sperm analysis doesn't improve at our next test we're looking at needing ICSI. I'd love to go with Dr Shah but it's very expensive compared to places like ABC.

I need to look more into the pros and cons of different clinics. Anyone else here who's used Fertility Plus for ICSI? Would love to know if you think it was worth the cost and if you got a decent number of embryos to freeze.

Hi @Ck236 @Rapur How was your treatment with Fertility Clinic? Is your treatment completed? Getting in process to start mine.

Fertility plus Dr.Gudi is mater in skill. We have been to other clinics and they are really expensive and so many extra test cost. Here in Fertility Plus its fixed price and the service of the clinic is simply super.

@Vic2021it's good! There is a waiting list to get in - I had to wait two months for my initial appointment - but very happy with the service now I'm in the clinic. I am being treated with medicated and monitored cycles right now, not IVF, so I can't say whether I'd recommend him for IVF but my overall impression is positive.
