Down regulation and period?

Hiya

I'm currently DR on Burselin and still have not had my period. (I'm about four days late than when I was normally due prior to DR)

I wiped and had very light pink bleed (sorry TMI)

Baseline scan is due next Tuesday and worried if I am late in my period that this will delay the scan date.

Maybe I am just panicking for no reason. I very much doubt it I am pregnant as we were advised not to have unprotected sex from day 1 of this cycle.

Confused and worried at mo don't want this to delay the next stage! :(

sorry I have not been on the net self imposed /husbands ban as I was driving myself to worrying even more!

Scan went fine better result this time and I saw a different nurse and she was helpful and explained things. The higher dose has seemed to have done the job thank God have to go for another scan to see if there is further improvement and then they will discuss and let me know re EC date it will probably be at the end of the week.

Oh I'm so happy to read that! And as for the net ban I think that's a good idea. It's so consuming this stuff. I'm so glad it went well 😍

My scan went really well, got many huge follicles and still no OHSS signs so I'm delighted. They're just testing my bloods and will phone me back later to say whether it's Monday or Tuesday but should be Monday! Just hope I don't get over stimulated afterwards as she said there are so many follicles that will just fill back up with fluid after they extract the eggs and it's quite common. Fingers crossed.

Got to take 4 days off work cause it's going to be longer than a normal EC too. I'm at work now.. trying so hard to take it easy but it's impossible. I'm in pain and bloated and achey. My hips and back feel like they're about to burst. Apparently my ovaries are the size of grapefruits now and they're touching they're so wide. "Kissing ovaries", sounds a lot sweeter than it feels.
I need a break from work, I don't think I'll come in from tomorrow onwards. My boss is being an ass too which isn't helping.

Me too! I was so worried but let's see what happens it's not in my hands just have to keep being positive and praying for the outcome we all desire a happy healthy bouncy lil baby!

Hiya, I'm ok thank you. Currently in bed, I just woke up from a nap and feel like I could go again! 😴

How are you doing? I'm glad you've relaxed a bit, it's such a rollercoaster isn't it? I was having one of those obsessive internet moments this morning and made myself panic again about more issues, sigh.

Did my trigger shot last night so I'm free of nasal sprays and injections today which is weird. I ended up taking the whole weekend off work, they had no one in except me. After me saying that I need to take it easy they decide that leaving me as the only dispenser in a busy pharmacy on a day before the world ends (shops shut for a day) is a good idea?! No thank you. So I'm off relaxing.

I don't blame you for taking the time off it's required! After all the injections and emotional rollercoaster of it all the last thing you need is to be stressing over work.

I think i am coming down with a cold! I feel a little bloated and getting the odd twinges here and there but I've been feeling sleepy so have been having power naps here and there. It's a very lazy Sunday for me! Husbands cooking so that gets me off the hook haha! I shouldn't be too far behind you with EC (well here's to hoping that I am ready - another scan tomorrow for me)

I keep trying not to Google and have just decided whatever is meant to be will be! But it's so hard not to keep checking for different things and there is so many stages to IVF etc and at each stage it's hard not to worry you simply don't know what to expect and it's beyond your control such a rollercoaster of emotions Arghh

I've got to be there for 7.30 for an 8.10 start! Can't wait to get them out now but apparently I'll be even more bloated after its done cause all the follicles fill back up with fluid. Being tired is a good sign, they said cause there are so many follicles maturing and growing, our body's are using a lot more energy and a lot more fluid! So I'm downing gallons a day, but peeing ALL the time.

That's so true, you think you're over one hurdle and ta-da! another one 🙄
I'm sure you will be ready tomorrow, let me know how your scan goes!

Hey luv! How are you? How was your EC? (Guessing your recuperating at the moment) hope it all went well. How many eggs were collected?

I've got to stimm for few days more but there is steady progress so at least it wasn't just that's it abandon cycle! Probably looking at EC for Thursday or Friday but have to have one more scan before then. I'm trying to remain positive as it's all out of my hands so whatever will be it will be! I give up.

EC went well, 28 eggs!! But it's totally knocked me sideways cause obviously that meant it was longer and more trauma on my body. I'm alright now but when I was at the clinic after I'd come round I was like oooooowwwwwweeeeee! They gave me paracetamol, then codeine, then tramadol and eventually the pain subsided. I convinced myself it was OHSS cause most people I've spoken to who've had their ec's today have said they had only a little discomfort or none at all, weird.

That's good then! Better to have steady progress then get too much too soon and be over stimulated. When's your next scan?

Got to go back in weds now but let's see there's absolutely nothing I can do other than pray to God and remain positive it's simply out of my control. It is what it is there's nothing I can do I'd rather not (as would everyone else) have to go through this whole palava of IVF/ICSI but in order to have a child needs must.

But really pleased for you hope your recovery from EC goes well & then on to the next stage! xx

Don't panic yet! I'm sure it will be absolutely fine and you'll have your EC by the end of this week. Don't stress yourself x
Just spoke to another girl who had her EC the same day as me, she was in agony yesterday like me but it didn't get any better. I told her to phone the hospital as it shouldn't be so bad now.. and she's just been rushed in with severe over stimulation! Her cycles been cancelled, they'll freeze her embryos but she'll have to pay for the frozen transfer and her nhs funded one has gone belly up! 😔😔 feel so sorry for her. Honestly I think it's better to be stimulated slowly and have things happen gradually than have that situation!
As for me..
God I'm a state 😂 So bloated and so constipated. It's been a nightmare today.
Well they got 28 eggs which is great and 15 of them fertilised. I should've been ecstatic when I found out but I just felt quite flat. I think this journey is so up and down and just so bloody stressful. You think you've finally got somewhere and bam.. more worry.

Now I've just got the wait until thurs to see how the embryos are getting on and whether they transfer them Thursday or Saturday.

let me know how you get on tomorrow! I'm sure it will be fine.. they've been brewing for a good few days since your last scan xxx

If you have Facebook, the group UK IVF has been a great support for me. There's so many members and I guarantee that hundreds of them have been in the same position as whatever either of us go through ♥️

Oh no that is so sad! How traumatic for the poor girl.

If it's not one worry it is another there's nothing anyone can do.

That's good news hopefully they are plodding along nice for you! Ah well I suppose with emotions playing havoc nobody knows how to react and what the next stage will bring but hopefully all positive.

I know I just sat here feeling downhearted I really thought by this time I'd have had my EC and on to the next stage but you are right it's best that it is at Its own pace.

Sorry was so shattered yesterday such a long day!

EC confirmed for Sat - finally!! I've been told that I don't need to bring anything with me other than myself and my husband lol

Any suggestions on anything I should take for EC?

Ah yaaaay 😊 That's great.
No there's nothing you need, just bring a bottle of water in the car so you can drink it on your way home.. you need a lot of water after they puncture your follicles because they fill back up with your fluids.
Also, they told me to bring my own sanitary towels because they have them there but they're horrid chunky ones, I didn't actually have any old blood come out after though so didn't need them.
You'll be in and out in no time and they have pain killers and that there x

My embies are good, all 15 are still going strong so my ET is Saturday at 10

I'm still suffering with mild OHSS though since the EC. Nightmare 😞 They said because of the number of follicles I technically already had it before EC, but it's not quite moderate or severe luckily so I just need to lump it! I'm so bloated though and uncomfortable 😪 It's horrible. Xx

EC went well 17 eggs so wasn't as disasterous as I thought it might be!

I was sat by my phone all morning waiting for the call I fell asleep and missed the call so now have to wait until Monday to find out what's happen as they are now closed! Frustrating to say the least!

How was ET?? Did you transfer the one? Guess your two week wait begins! How exciting. What date have they advised you can test?!

Yep 2ww is here. I'm only on day 2 as well! Probably be the longest two weeks of my life, although it's not actually two weeks because they count from fertilisation, same way it would be naturally, so I have to test next Wednesday. 9 sleeps. Not that I'm counting haha. Luckily I can't symptom spot as I've had all the symptoms since I started these progesterone pessaries! Swollen boobs, cramps, nausea, back ache and darker nipples! So I can't judge anything on symptoms, it's just a waiting game. Only transferred the one, they graded it a+ and recommended the one so we just said ok! Fingers crossed, there's nothing more I want in the world.
