We have relocated from the conception board where we were previously chatting under the thread 'ttc for 10 months or more'. A lot of us are now long term ttc-ers and are going through infertility treatment or looking to take steps in this direction so we feel this might be a more suitable home for us!

Feel free to stop by and say hi and hopefully we can share the journey together and make it a little easier along the way!

Geeup, breathe..... what time are you in tomorrow? Try and keep calm til then, then the real panic can start! Joking. Really feel for your u, I can't imagine how nerve-wracking it all is. Im excited for you too though so best of luck! 8 follies is good... I read somewhere that with mini ivf, they aim for between 4 and 8 follicles and find the egg quality is better. I know you're not doing mini, but with a low yield the odds are with you in terms of quality. Not 100% sure where I read that, but it sounds plausible.

I have to stim with gonal f as the pen allows you to do really specific doses in increments of 12.5iu.

justtheonethen · 28/03/2017 19:06

Great news gee! Good luck tomorrow. Also think that it's quality over quantity.

We STILL haven't got funding approved. Why is this process full of delays? So frustrating.

geeup · 28/03/2017 20:12

Sorry you are still waiting justtheone.
And thanks for your very wise counsel Star! Can't wait for tomorrow to be done...
I never imagined how patient I could be before TTC!

maplebaby · 29/03/2017 09:24

Good luck today gee! Fingers crossed for you and hope you don't feel too awful after!

Just eurgh when were you meant to hear back??

Star what great news, and what a relief! So glad you can get started again - do you start down reg in May?

Blue what douchebags - talk about kicking you when you are down. Flowers bless DH for his offer too - hope the sunshine is going to continue, it definitely helps the mood abit doesn't it.

I got my prepayment certificate yesterday so will collect drugs this week - that's about it, just waiting for AF and secretly hoping for a natural BFP the month before we start

geeup · 29/03/2017 14:44

I got 6 eggs. Now just to wait to find out how many fertilised tomorrow morning! Feeling sore and a bit sleepy but ok.

star1980 · 29/03/2017 14:50

Yeay Gee congratulations! Fingers crossed for your call tomorrow..hope the soreness passes soon. Flowers

Hi maple! Tell me about the crazy hoping. I'm desperate for a bfp before may. Ugh.

All the people who went off on maternity leave last year are now popping in with their babies and everyone crowds round them cuddling and cooing. I can't bear it. When I get notice I make myself scarce but when I don't I smile and pretend then disappear and they must all think I'm a bitter old woman Sad

maplebaby · 29/03/2017 18:47

Well done gee! Hope you have a speedy recovery and fingers crossed for the call tomorrow!

Star all the women who got pregnant and went on mat leave in the time I've been trying are all back now - one more is having her KIT days and due back in a few weeks Sad I keep getting "you next!" when they come back. Another girl is going on mat leave in April too. Sigh I know how you feel Flowers

star1980 · 30/03/2017 08:53

Urgh maple, it's such a pain!

Good luck this morning gee, thinking about you Smile

Londonjam · 30/03/2017 09:08

The waiting is the worst just hope it's not much longer

Great news star that's not long at all, how exciting

Well done gee that's brilliant

Maple fx for you

We're still waiting for the next SA then follow up to be referred. Am currently 11 DPO so expecting AF again in the next few days.

geeup · 30/03/2017 10:52

Hi all thanks for your kind words. 5 of the 6 fertilised which we are thrilled with. Next call is tomorrow morning but they've told me to expect transfer on Monday. I forgot to say that we were able to do ivf as DHs sample was good enough. Who knows what changed (we had been told we definitely needed icsi before hand) but we were happy we could try IVF.

justtheonethen · 30/03/2017 11:12

Great news gee!

Bloody useless clinic "forgot" our funding application. I'm so annoyed at the total waste of time. Angry

Londonjam · 30/03/2017 11:20

That's brilliant gee that's so exciting you'll have it back in on Monday!

Londonjam · 30/03/2017 11:20

Just that is absolutely infuriating Sad

geeup · 30/03/2017 11:50

Yes sorry to hear that just. I totally understand that you're just desperate to get going at this point and it's infuriating!

star1980 · 30/03/2017 12:27

Amazing news gee! And amazing on the sperm too, maybe the proxeed is working. I really want to do ivf too.

Grrr just sooo annoying! What happens now? Did they forget to send it off or just forgot to assess it? If the second then you should have a decision any day now fingers crossed.

Sorry maple, forgot to answer your question about downregging. I'm not downregging this time but I start with 3 weeks in the pill so I'll start that in May and then on day 21 start stims. That'll be June.

Hope af doesn't arrive london and maple - you never know. Someone on our mfi thread got a natural bfp after three years!

maplebaby · 30/03/2017 17:51

That's fab news gee! Also good to hear about DHs sample!

Just that is terrible! I hope you raged at them! Hope you don't have to wait ages for the funding to come through. Presume they have completed the application now?

Star Hope you get a natural BFP before may! And if not then for may to come round quickly.

London when is the next SA?

justtheonethen · 30/03/2017 18:10

Forgot to send it at all. The manager is going to speak to consultant tomorrow to see what happened and then put it in. It is so unfair, why should I wait again because of their incompetence?

maplebaby · 31/03/2017 07:40

That's very incompetent of them hope - it is so unfair you have to wait all over again to start Sad can it get rushed through at all??

maplebaby · 31/03/2017 07:40

Sorry I meant just!!!

Londonjam · 31/03/2017 10:07

just I hope they can fast track you to make up for their mistake

maple its a bit of a long story but the SA was booked at the hospital next Wednesday - however DH is now going to be out of the country then, so he's going to do it at home and drive it in the day before - which apparently you can do anytime. So he could have done this anytime over the last few weeks... Grrr. That's the one thing holding us up before I can start calling -daily- to get a quicker follow up appointment!

justtheonethen · 31/03/2017 18:26

Hurrah! All funding agreed and we will start in May!

Londonjam · 31/03/2017 19:18

Fantastic , great news just

geeup · 31/03/2017 20:01

Brilliant just!

maplebaby · 01/04/2017 09:10

London that's good you can take it in any time - hope you get your follow up appointment soon!

Just that is fantastic news - turned round very quickly too!

Gee any news?

I collected my sack of drugs yesterday! Also for the last 4 days I've been spotting brown again Hmm this month I've had 2 weeks of no spotting / AF - surely that isn't right!! Every time I mention it they never seem concerned though! Anyway, if it means AF comes earlier and I can get going earlier, that's fine by me!

Hope everyone has a good weekend - I'm off to do some retail therapy and eat dumplings in Chinatown! Grin

geeup · 01/04/2017 09:25

Maple - good news you have the drugs ready to start. We have 5 of the 6 fertilised, and of them all have divided as of yesterday but there are 3 front runners. No call expected today - just waiting till 5d transfer on Mon am. Am still having brown discharge which I've had since the day after EC but hoping that's not abnormal. Am doing the cyclogest 400 twice a day up the back door so just hoping it's working and it's progesterone to keep AF away for me.
