Changing Clinics - Anyone with experience with ARGC or Care Fertility London?

Hi there

We have had 3 failed transfers with our current clinic and are at our wits end with them hence the decision to move clinics.

Has anyone moved frozen embryos to ARGC? Had FET with ARGC?

Or Care Fertility London?

Which other clinics would you recommend in London?

Any advice will be appreciated.

I'm with a satellite clinic to CARE London - so I'm treated by an independent consultant, he does my protocol, all scans are with him, but EC and ET are at CARE and it's their lab

I also went into the clinic to have a Neupogen wash and my Intralipids

Their lab is one of the best in London and esp when it comes to genetics they are world class

I can't speak to the consultants there and to their stims but they do have a good immunology programme and everyone at the clinic has been great

No I've only ever been with my consultant Colin Davis (separate thread about him here

I haven't any experience of cycling with CARE directly, nor with any other clinic

What is the treatment like at Care? Do they tailor make the treatment to the patient or do they use standard protocols? Do u get to see the same consultant throughout?

Really recommend ARGC, we went there after 4 ICSI attempts elsewhere. We didn't move frozen embryos (ours were never any good) but I was really impressed with the immunology side, I work in this field though not fertility related. The rest of the holistic approach of the clinic ensuring I was in the optimum state to have transfer was also excellent. It's expensive and chaotic but they definitely know their stuff, I was getting to the end of the treatment road and felt like we gave it our best, last shot by going to ARGC.

Hi,

I went to Care in London for IVF treatment including genetic screening (not infertile, just old). They were absolutely wonderful, I was treated by Dr Theodorou but also the nurses there were just great, and so supportive. In the end we couldn't do it ourselves but stayed with them for IVF using a donor egg, and we now have a very much wanted and loved 6 month old baby! Two close friends of mine went to see him after my success, and both got pregnant with him first time, albeit with their own eggs. One of those was a first time try, and the other was on her third round and came from the Lister.

Another recommendation for ARGC and their tailored approach.

The friend who was on her third round had an immune issue, can't remember what exactly, but something to do with her blood and she had to have treatments which I didn't have - I want to say blood transfusions but it can't have been that can it? I had a thin lining which didn't respond to the usual drugs but he managed to get it thick enough after 3 months and trying a few different things , so our embryo was in the freezer while we sorted that out.

Thank you....I have a thin lining....what did he do to thicken it? Do u have adenomyosis?

No, I'd had no lining issues before - I fell pregnant naturally and easily (my eggs were all rubbish though so I always miscarried). And on my previous IVF my lining had been fine (but no good embryos). It was just this one time when we finally had a decent embryo that the lining suddenly wouldn't thicken (always one more hurdle), so there was no syndrome I had which needed help.

He gave me synthetic hormones to stimulate the lining, which my body didn't respond to. The thing that worked for me in the end was viagra, possibly in combination with something else, i don't remember the detail, strange though it sounds. I just trusted him. And he got me pregnant.
