Anyone tried inofolic? Its supposed to help people with pcos ovulate and ultimately get pregant. Just sounds a bit too goo to be true and its quite pricey. Thanks for your help. Smile

@Soulsta are you overweight?
If so are you on metformin?
If not I'd get into your gp about getting metformin. It's prescribed for pcos too and helps with the insulin resistance since it's a diabetic drug and helps weight loss. I completely cut out sugar and that really helped regulate my cycles. I lost 35lbs since start of year .I tried clomid and it didn't help me ovulate on time but once I got that weight off my cycles started regulating and ovulating on my own. Unfortunately I still didn't get pregnant but I'm now 8 weeks via ivf so there's definitely hope.

@MoonIightDreamer yes overweight and started metformin a week ago. Also same time started low carb and sugar free diet, though being a vegetarian its a bit more difficult. I understand dairy doesnt go well with PCOS, but is eating food like greek yogurt, haloumi ok, when on low carb diet? It's high in protien and fat.

Surprisingly I'm not getting the usual strong headaches or low energy. Fingers crossed x

@Soulsta to he honest I didn't really follow low carb, just completely cutting out as much sugar as possible.
I was still eating pasta , bread ect but just no sugary treats and I actually started ovulating on day day 14 on my own. Even on clomid I was ovulating day 30 40+ but everything just started working once I got that weight off, it just kick started my body into having regular periods and ovulating.
I didn't cut out dairy ,I actually drank and ate loads of diary as we were in the lead up to starting ivf and we we did months of prep and dairy helps to fatten and mature eggs and it certainly didn't affect my cycles as those months I've never been so regular.
If you can't eat meat eat nuts, eggs, and yogurt . I think spinach has protein aswell. I actually bought protein powder to up my protein. It didn't have added sugars and sweeteners

@MoonIightDreamer that's amazing, can I ask how long was the weight loss journey for you?

I've tried a sugar free diet in the past, unfortunately it hasn't got me results so trying low carb too this time round. It's sooo hard not eating bread!

Like the idea of protien powder, I struggle with protien intake.
