OK someone definitely needs to own up to writing that, as it is about the first piss take I have seen written by a person who clearly has spent a fair bit of time reading the site. Most amusing.

Mind you, it does seem to me that much of the media flapping about the MN factor is it's such a shock for people to witness anything being done by a large group that's predominantly women. MN is a forum for women's voices, rather than a 'women's interests/What Do Women Want?' discussion arranged and controlled by men.

I'm not an MN regular, but I am a mum of three (no 4 due in August) who dips into the site from time to time and I'm so glad that (most of) you enjoyed what was intended as an affectionate satire on NewsBiscuit!
