Actually, off at a tangent - many thanks Rhubarb for the link. Although the news was sad, finding it was the Evening Argus (or The Argus, as it is now) forced me on a trip down memory lane, to my childhood, teenage years, and first full-time employment, as I lived down in Sussex and worked in Brighton for 11 years... 20 years here in N Wales makes me almost forget the traffic and bustle...

Seeing the live travel news that there were bus services on the railway routes east and west also takes me back as for 2 years of my life I was studying in Southampton and travelling to and fro each weekend. Most Sundays I needed to leave at lunch time because you could almost guarantee that somewhere on the route would be a long wait for a connection or a bus taking us along rural Sussex or Hampshire roads. Happy days!
