Sorry I am around but can't help out. DD is at a school party and I need to collect her soon and run around to the main school to pick up DS!!!

You can always rely on MN, you are really wonderful people.
xxx sorry, really emotional today.

swiperfox · 07/07/2005 14:31

There is not much 'new' news being added on itv at the moment. They are doing interviews and showing casualties being taken off on stretchers
The ticker is currently saying that no warning was given but the man they interviewed said that the people who monitor for warnings are now going back over phone calls etc to see if they missed something subtle.

All bus services suspended. Reramin where you are and do not travel.

puddle · 07/07/2005 14:32

Al-quaeda have claimed responsibility- have said it's revenge for Iraq and Afganistan.
Not clear whether it's genuine tho.

swiperfox · 07/07/2005 14:32

a casualty bureau and emergency line will be opening very shortly..........

LunarSea · 07/07/2005 14:34

From the Guardian "Ambulance sources suggest 23 people have been killed at King's Cross, nine at Edgware road, seven at Aldgate, two at Russell Square."

swiperfox · 07/07/2005 14:34

Al Qaeda claims killing of egyptian envoy in iraq

vicdubya · 07/07/2005 14:36

I've got to go now also, got to get ds up & go to shops.

Will come back on if I can later.

Hugs to everyone stuck in London / involved in this.

Fimbo · 07/07/2005 14:37

I have to go now too to collect dd from school, I will not be logging on again until this evening. My thoughts are with all you Londoners x

Iklboo · 07/07/2005 14:41

My thoughts are with everyone in London too. It shows how it can get to you (terrorists I mean). I'm in Manchester. It seems like there are more emergency sirens than normal - every couple of minutes. I KNOW nothing has happened up here so I'm obvioulsy more tuned to danger signals & being worried. V V V silly I know.
Love to everyone in London (((HUGS)))

THey are just interviewing someone at Edgeware station and he is saying it is slowly returning to some sort of normality and people are just walking around like it's a normal day........

HappyDaddy · 07/07/2005 14:46

Sky and ITV have got lots wrong today, they tend to broadcast rumour before they have facts.

HappyDaddy · 07/07/2005 14:47

The resilience of people in this country is astounding. Everyone just wants to get on with their normal lives.

swiperfox · 07/07/2005 14:50

Reading station.........trains slowly getting back to normal. Reading became a 'London Terminus' for trains that couldn't continue into London. Reading is a 'Category A' station so they are constantly sweeping the station and the trains.

swiperfox · 07/07/2005 14:51

Coming out of London tonight they are saying there will be enough services to get people out of London - but they aren't sure if people will be able to get across London to get to the trains
