The Daily Mash is a little harsh, don't you think?

How do they get away with it ?

I would say that not only GF lawyers would be after them but Cleggs ?

funny though

ShowOfHands · 15/01/2010 07:39

There was a thread on this yesterday. I'd never heard of The Daily Mash before. It's read through your fingers stuff. It should not be funny. I am not laughing. Not at all. Not a bit. Nope. No. Nuh uh.

belgo · 15/01/2010 07:42

'lock his children in a disused fridge and then push it off the back of a truck on a lonely road in the middle of nowhere, '

FFS, don't they know you shouldn't just dump a disused fridge anywhere? Very bad for the environment. They need to be disposed of properly.

JackBauer · 15/01/2010 08:33

'Ford is the multi-million selling author of a series of parenting guide books including How to Keep Your Baby in a Bucket and the controversial Go to Bed, Right Fucking Now.'

You see? That's not even slightly amusing.

"Her strict methods call for babies to be signed in and out of their mother's breasts until they are 12 weeks old, after which they should be encouraged to get a part-time job."

is my favourite bit

"Go To Bed, Right Fucking Now" is just hilarious. I don't think it is particularly harsh as it is so obviously exaggerated. If SWMNBN sets her lawyers on the Mash it will speak volumes about her state of mind. And really, would you want someone so f*ed up and insecure looking after your children?

JackBauer · 15/01/2010 09:00

No it's not hilarious Callisto.
it's not even remotely funny.

wukter · 15/01/2010 09:27

WeLL, I for one am sick and tired of all the bashing that poor woman gets. I used Go To Bed Right Fucking Now on all mine and it worked a treat! You just have to be firm.

ShowOfHands · 15/01/2010 09:30

Ford, who has refurbished more than 300 babies since 1989, dismissed the latest broadside adding: "Schießen Sie Herr Clegg und stellen Sie Fragen später."

She did not say that, it is not funny to suggest she did.

Stop tittering in the back.

It's positively humourless.

weegiemum · 15/01/2010 09:38

My children still go straight to their bucket when they get in from school.

It worked for me!

It isn't remotely funny!

policygarry · 15/01/2010 09:40
Grin
policygarry · 15/01/2010 09:40

Gosh, fat fingers, of course I meant

BecauseImWorthIt · 15/01/2010 09:43

I'm going to join you in the outrage

"popular baby mechanic" is not at all accurate.

I'm not saying why

ShowOfHands · 15/01/2010 09:47
thumbwitch · 15/01/2010 09:51

I am Outraged. Shocked. In fact, totally Scandalised.

(On another note has anyone else ever seen the BRacknell Harbinger online? Hasn't been updated for ages but still quite funny.)

weegiemum · 15/01/2010 09:54

Can't believe noone has linked to this either

Contented Little Politician

thumbwitch · 15/01/2010 10:08

weegiemum, that is Not Funny either. Oh no.

weegiemum · 15/01/2010 10:12

No, it is A Disgrace.

Which is why I had to show it to you, to let everyone know How Disgraceful it is!

(have you thought about seeing a physio for your pelvic floor problem?)

Peachy · 15/01/2010 10:12

Oh goodness that's wonderful, if clearly not true and only to be read in any jest asmy Lawyer would like meto emphasise.

HowManyTimesDS · 15/01/2010 10:13

"Go To Bed, Right Fucking Now"

Ermmm.... isn't that normal then?

Oops.

HowManyTimesDS · 15/01/2010 10:16

"NB: soldiers are not age-appropriate toys."

No indeed
