Don't normally do this but 'Whoop whoop!'

SnowWorm · 15/01/2010 11:19

It isn't clear from onebat's link, but apparently TM have also decded to resign from OAA over this issue -- www.mediaweek.co.uk/news/977511/Transport-Media-leaves-OAA-Career-women-campaign/

onebatmother · 15/01/2010 11:49

oh I SEE. I hadn't quite got it - thought they bough FROM the OAA but in fact they were member of?

So are effectively now not going to benefit from any sales that come via the OAA.. have I got that right btw?

I don't know whether they'd get sales from OAA, but presumably they were in it to get some kind of member-benefits from a trade body. So are being quite principled? Though also getting some good publicity, which I think they deserve to milk.

OneBatMother - I didn't see this thread until just now (I was out last night and when I got home I just quickly looked at 'I'm On', not the whole topic!)

I think it would be kind of nice to write to them in solidarity, as you say! Although that said, there have been lots of nice comments on this thread and the other one about them now. I hope they are reading.

I must say I'm now seeing taxi advertising in a whole new light and am wondering just how soon I can get a black cab sprayed up with MrsBaldwin Inc branding

mrsbaldwin · 15/01/2010 12:56

Oh and BTW onebatmother - I love Georgette Heyer. I have the whole damn lot plus the hardback book guide to Regency London and all the characters ...

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 15/01/2010 12:58

Wow that is fantastic!

What do we think of Beta's chances of getting another contract with the OAA?

onebatmother · 15/01/2010 18:50

'pon rep, Madame B - you are a woman of ton to be sure.

OP posts:
onebatmother · 15/01/2010 19:02

of the ton? La, 'tis been an age..

A woman of ton (with no 'the') may be more accurate - see 'from couch potato to 5K' thread in Sport and Exercise topic ...
