Liz Jones again

OP posts:

I have worked (volunteered) at Oxford's old soup kitchen and, twice, at a different place, over Christmas day and boxing day. It was when I was single and it was a wonderful way to spend Christmas. Interesting day with plenty to do. Much better than turkey and all the rest. Back in time for Trivial Pursuit.
When newspapers start charging, surely no one is going to pay to read LJ. Or some journalist in the Telegraph writing about learning to bake. Perhaps this is why LJ is writing so much, she knows her days are numbered.

David is going to end up being her 2010 project, and her final column in December next year will end with the words

"Reader, I married him"

Poor sod.

HappyNewYearFromKimi · 30/12/2009 11:22

Does she have to like the homeless??? No

Is she entitled to be truthful and say she finds some of them a bit scary Yes

clam · 30/12/2009 11:31

But Riven, according to another shite article she wrote this week, she nearly was homeless when, God forbid, a London hotel refused to serve her a drink and valet her car BMW for her as she had no credit. This woman knows what it is to suffer.

Arf

notwavingjustironing · 30/12/2009 11:40

Maybe next week there will be a contra article showing the other side of the story:-

David:- "I've never liked Liz Jones"

Not waving; Well done, yes, it will come to pass. LJ will be a footnote in future Media Studies course to the decline of print media.

StealthPolarBear · 30/12/2009 13:30

i think it's a good article - she's revealing her own preconceptions and having them altered

whomovedmychocolate · 30/12/2009 13:54

Ye Gods she's going to a do a 'makeover' on David isn't she?

Poor bloke.

I bet he thought he'd hit rock bottom already, but no, there is a depth that only Daily Mail journalists can reach and Liz Jones certainly does come (equipped for digging) with a shovel for all the crap she spouts.

StealthPolarBear · 30/12/2009 13:57

who is this david? was he mentioned in the article?

StealthPolarBear · 30/12/2009 13:58

oh sorry, my brain somehow managed to fiter the name out of those paragraphs!
