I have worked (volunteered) at Oxford's old soup kitchen and, twice, at a different place, over Christmas day and boxing day. It was when I was single and it was a wonderful way to spend Christmas. Interesting day with plenty to do. Much better than turkey and all the rest. Back in time for Trivial Pursuit.
When newspapers start charging, surely no one is going to pay to read LJ. Or some journalist in the Telegraph writing about learning to bake. Perhaps this is why LJ is writing so much, she knows her days are numbered.
