What a mad, sad world we are living in. Poor little soul.

I couldn't read it.

The father's face.... omg.

Evil mother. What can you say.

wukter · 19/11/2009 08:54

What can you fucking say.
How could she do that. How could she actually do it.

Disenchanted3 · 19/11/2009 09:22

I just mean most of the time these threads have a warning 'horrid out come of lost little girl' etc so you can chose whether o click and then read what has gone on rather than the title being enough to put the pieces together

Just makes me feel sick everytime I see the title,

will ahve to hide it I think

mamadiva · 19/11/2009 09:27

Dis I don't think you can hide it after you have posted...

I think it's probably best that the title says it all so you can choose to hide straight away rather than clicking through and reading the whole story and wishing you hadn't.

This mother has other children, by other men. At least some of these other children live with her.

It has emerged that Social Services investigated the mother/her home over the summer for drug use, and found drugs and drug making equipment in the house - but did not tell Shaniya's father (they also did not remove the other children, for some reason). Shaniya's father had no idea about the investigation - otherwise he certainly would not have allowed Shaniya to visit/live there.

It has also emerged that the little girl had been living with the Mother for 5 weeks, returning to the father/his family at weekends. The mother stopped sending the little girl to school back in October, but it appears the school never contacted anyone about it (not Social Services or Shaniya's father who was the 'custodial' parent).

The system failed this little girl in almost every way possible.

Good grief, poor little mite.

mamadiva · 20/11/2009 09:08

Earlybird, poor little girl was so obviously failed by child services.

And in the end it seems so avoidable!

My heart goes out to her father and the other children involved, god knows what they were put through...

The man who was arrested has now been charged with first degree murder and child rape. Cause of death is asphyxiation, but they don't know if strangled, smothered, etc.

They are trying to figure out more about the Mum's relationship to the killer (some say she owed him money for drugs and that he was/is the boyfriend of the Mum's sister) and where/when the child was killed (they are assuming the murder took place elsewhere and the body dumped) before they charge the Mum.

Pure evil.

confuseddoiordonti · 20/11/2009 16:51

Heartbreaking. I think the poor mite is actually better off now than she was when she was alive. God knows what else she could have gone through.

Hope all involved, once they get convicted (and they will, surely?) get their heads kicked in on a weekly basis when serving their life sentences. And that would be too good for them.

argento · 20/11/2009 17:07

Rasputin - I don't think he was handing her over for good, just allowed visitation/shared custody as the mother seemed to have cleaned up her acted, held down a job, found a decent place to live etc. Not strange really - maybe he was too trusting but I doubt he could have imagined she would do this.

PeedOffWithNits · 23/11/2009 14:12

her poor father, how could you imagine that someone you had fathered a child with would DO such a thing

close to tears now , RIP little girl
