which in case you don't know is a restaurant named after a cheery slang word for women's breasts, to see if he was ready for the 'birds and the bees' talk..

He's not a complete bonehead, this guy - he writes a parenting blog, fgs - but this news makes me want to sob.

I've not experienced Hooters, but from the photo it doesn't look that different to other restaurants that might not have such an in-your-face name but still have skimpy waitress outfits. I believe in Bavaria it is common for waitresses to wear outfits designed to enhance their breasts.

If I took my seven year old, I wouldn't have thought he would even notice what was going on.

Hooters is the kinda place which will have a slightly different tone to it depending on where it is located and the time of day or night you visit it.

I would never consider it to be a family friendly kinda place though mainly because the main concept behind its existence is the objectification of a woman's sexuality. I don't want my child to treat their food servers with such glibness just because they are paying for their service. Even if the person doing the food serving is implying that it is ok to do so. Some of these women actually hate it (I know an ex-Hooter girl). She took the job because she was the single mum of a daughter and needed the money.
