  1. Because they can't report a fact without putting a slant on it
  1. Because they deliberately try to make everything more frightening than it is

Come on you know you want to

sugarrush...well, yes, you are target audience Just like I am Gruaniad target audience.

but at least we can bond over music, eh?

OrmIrian · 06/08/2009 19:36

Because people whom I otherwise quite like read it and then feel justified in their unpleasant opinions. It spoils nice people.

PeachyLaPeche · 06/08/2009 19:37

Godh lovea you do surprise me

You know, you and my Grandad would get on fabulously. Mind it'd be boring as he's banned from lots of places for his racialist / homoophobic / mysogynist outbursts (and nope its not alzheimers, mum got it in her teens too)

scottishmummy · 06/08/2009 19:38

my mum reads daily record,i dont feel compelled to share her choice of comic

blahdiblahblah · 06/08/2009 19:41
  1. they claim remedies to disease which gets people's hopes up eg: drinking coffee can cure alzheimers
mollyroger · 06/08/2009 19:43

they only actually have 2 stories.
cancer
Immigrants

Immigrants cause cancer.

LoveaSugarRush · 06/08/2009 19:47

molly...people are concerned about immigration, why can't a paper talk about it?

diedandgonetodevon · 06/08/2009 19:48

Don't forget immigrants with cancer (they drain the NHS dontcha know)

OrmIrian · 06/08/2009 19:50

In the middle ages people were concerned about witches consorting with Beelzebub DP.

PeachyLaPeche · 06/08/2009 19:52

they beleive that this country treats terrorists in priority to citizens and send donor organs to Al Quaida en masse

they think like dp/loveasugarush don't belive in ADHD

They take stories such as someone thinkiing a wheat free diet helps ASD kids (my edperience is it does) and blast that into a new cure

However by googling I found they are trying to help Gar McKinnon so am pleasantly surprised

scottishmummy · 06/08/2009 19:52

some protest too much about DM.dont read then.obviously love the righteous indignation of protesting. demonstrating right on credential yet having an extensive knowledge

mollyroger · 06/08/2009 19:54

Dp, let's talk about music, shall we....!
look!long hair, gorgeous, pouting, dressed in black..

LoveaSugarRush · 06/08/2009 19:58

oh molly

maybe there's a god above, but all i've ever learnt from love is how to shoot somebody who outdrew you...

no hope for me..

stuffitlllama · 06/08/2009 19:59

I liked the way they stuck up about MMR

they did a bit of proper investigative work on that at one point

Nancy66 · 06/08/2009 20:04

What about naming Stephen Lawrence's killers after the Crown Prosecution Service failed to bring charges?

mollyroger · 06/08/2009 20:07

Hallelluia DP...halleluulia...

mollyroger · 06/08/2009 20:08

Though I do admire the way they stuck up for gary Mckinnon (read it on twitter, scottishmummy! ...)

stuffitlllama · 06/08/2009 20:09

and the campaign for a full state pension for mothers who don't work outside the home

stuffitlllama · 06/08/2009 20:12

goodness have never read so much daily mail stuff

they did "bin the bags" as well

who'd a thort it

frimblypoo · 06/08/2009 20:16

And the campaign to BAN wheely bins
like , that was really well thought out.

CloudDragon · 06/08/2009 20:16

because after reading it you start to think Jeremy Vine is such a twat

MrsFlittersnoop · 06/08/2009 20:18

Because it is Daily Mail POLICY not to publish photographs of WOMEN WEARING TROUSERS in any of its articles!!!!

I went on a photo shoot a few years ago as a member of A. N. Other parenting website (a non fluffy one I hasten to add) for a Daily Mail feature on Mothers Day (which wasn't published in the end).

We could not believe it when we were told we couldn't wear trousers! and that this was DM POLICY. We were all given a makeover (which was fun) and there was a selection of clothes provided which had been used for a fashion shoot earlier.

Unfortunately I couldn't fit into any of the clobber. I'm size 16 and 5'10. None of the clothes were larger than a 12/14 (and a very poor selection of those too.)

I hate the DM with a passion beyond words. I have brainwashed educated my DS to read the DM for examples of media bias and mysogeny. Wouldn't use it for lining the litter tray.

Because they publish detailed critiques of the personal appearance of any famous woman who dares to have a wrinkle, cellulite or unflattering outfit.

Because they hate working mothers.

Because they hate people on benefits.

PerArduaAdNauseum · 06/08/2009 20:29

Am at the trouser thing MrsFlittersnoop
