We don't know what happened here. She could have been raped or molested by an older man, it doesn't bear thinking about. Or she could have fallen pregnant by having sex with another 13 year old, it happens, lots of my friends were having sex at that age. Still terribly sad as I don't think that a 13 year old is mature enough for a sexual relationship but it is very common.

Don't know what the law is like in Poland - or Egypt - but in the UK, anyone having sex with a 13yo would be guilty of rape IIRC. Although I'm sure the police wouldn't rush to brief the CPS if it was another 13yo.

KIMI - "willingly" is not actually applicable is it?
The point of there being an age of consent is that a 13 year old CHILD may do all sorts of things "willingly" but they have neother the maturity or life experience to make an informed choice.
They are easily preyed on by nasty little mne who will convince them that having sex will be a great experience/ mean that they are in love and will happily ever after/ will mean that she's really grown up etc etc.

Although the situation is unfortunate, there will always be people of that age having sex. I know many who were sexually active when I was that age (18 years ago), one of whom got pregnant and was 14 when the child was born.
As for trying to sue the hotel...

My point is just because someone is under the age of consent does not mean they will not have sex.
I went to school with girls who were having sex at 13 and one or two who got pregnant.

And as everything these days is sexualized to the hilt children do think they are more grown up then they are, they do have sex not every underage child that has sex is molested
