I think it is a rather nice send off,
Fitting.
Nice to hear others sing his songs

that's just not true, bobbysmum. i'm reading the article. it's just that it's a rip-off of the orth pieces, which you'd know if you'd bothered to read them.

daftpunk · 09/07/2009 13:22

the police wouldn't find anything if they'd been paid off would they? that's what the MJ is guilty brigade will say..

Lulumama · 09/07/2009 13:28

a lot of people were paid off, DP, and why not the police? it is not beyond the realms of possibility

and as for Jordy Chandler's mum not thinking anything was going on.. i suppose that was easier than really wondering why a 35 year old man was in the same bed as her son for many nights.

the whole thing is a big sorry mess.

Rhubarb · 09/07/2009 13:28

Yes, but the case was so high profile that corruption such as that would be easy to spot. It only takes one Police Officer to sell his story to the media. Plus with the huge numbers of police involved with the case and when you think that they were under some pressure to find something, if only to justify all the resources spent on the case so far.

Lulumama · 09/07/2009 13:29

also, i don;t think aitch is any more close minded or militant than those arguing the opposite view point

Rhubarb · 09/07/2009 13:31

Lulumama, agreed, it is something I would never do. Has he openly said he shared a bed with Jordy Chandler? Did his mum know about the sleeping arrangements?

Then again, some people are so naive it's staggering.

I hear what you are saying about the bed sharing issue, and it doesn't take much thinking to conclude that he touched them. Yet in many ways, it's also quite a big leap to make.

This is a comfy fence!

daftpunk · 09/07/2009 13:31

lulu...the police would have been paid off first...

i will read the articals...but i need time to read them properly...during the day i'm coming and going every 10 minutes...no time.

Oh come on. It's one thing to suggest that MJ and his people are corrupt, but quite another to suggest that the jurors, ordinary people, and police are corrupt.

TDiddy · 09/07/2009 13:36

Some of you are so harsh and amazingly sure of events that you actually know little about.

Rhubarb and daftpunk- you are the voices of reason, IMO.

Lulumama · 09/07/2009 13:37

i think he shared a bed with jordy for many nights in their home. also, teh jackson camp and of course , jackson himself admitted bed sharing with several young boys

you have to ask why would a grown man do this?

yes, he might have been a man-child, with a stunted childhood himslef, and lack of foresight. but he , as a 35 year old man, sought out the company of young boys

it just does not sit well with me

daftpunk · 09/07/2009 13:38

ilovemydog....i was kinda joking about paying off the police....lula asked if it was beyond the realms of possibility that the police can be bought...er, no it isn't.....not saying they were in the MJ case.

Rhubarb · 09/07/2009 13:43

Yes he did admit that on TV didn't he? Which is so very very naive. You have to wonder why no-one thought to tell MJ that you do not share a bed with young boys! But the fact that he did openly admit to that, makes me think that he is incredibly naive and never, actually, grew up. This is why I'm not going to say that I'm sure he's guilty, because I'm not sure, I'm not sure at all.

Lulumama · 09/07/2009 13:43

why is it not ok to have conjecture and discussion?

we can have opinions based on fact, supposition, things we have seen/read/heard

please do point out where i have been unreasonable and harsh

i have given my opnion . which is no more right or wrong than yours

at the end of it, what i cannot get past, is a grow man sharing a bed with many young boys. never girls, only boys, and grooming htem and their parents with money and gifts beyond their dreams.

Lulumama · 09/07/2009 13:45

people did, rhubarb, people did tell him not to share his bed anymoer. including his ex wife Lisa Marie Presley

but jackson carried on, he was not above reproach

even after the jordy chandler debacle, he did it again and again

Rhubarb · 09/07/2009 13:46

Did he only sleep with boys? Do we know that? Another thing I remember is when he married Lisa Marie Presley, didn't she say that they slept together for 2 years but didn't actually have sex? Was the marriage consummated at all?

daftpunk · 09/07/2009 13:49

lulumama....he was a man trapped inside a childs body...he never had a childhood...to him he was having sleepovers...i know we find it odd...but MJ wasn't your average person...that doesn't mean he was abusing children...we could talk about this for ever, linking all sorts of articals...the fact is he was found innocent in a court of law....people have to accept that.

Rhubarb · 09/07/2009 13:50

wrong way round there DP.

Mamazon · 09/07/2009 13:52

I've worked with paedophiles.
i only have what i have seen and heard but i do not believe he has ever molested a child. yes i do think that he has acted in a naive and ill advised manner but i think that there has never been anything but childish immaturity behind his motives.

He wasa alwasy surrounded by so many people, somne would have seen something. any of his former aides or security staff could have sold teh story for millions. they never have.

he surrounds himself with fellow child stars because he has something in common with them.

He lived in a bubble. most celebs that whine and moan about their fame are told that its what you get, they courted the media so it serves them right. jackson was born into it, he had no option. we all know he was abused as a child.

i believe he was a very damaged man who just wanted to remain a child, who surrounded hiomself wigth the innocence of youth because it was easier for him than to grow up and face the realities of the adult world.

if i am ever proved wrong i will gladly eat my words.

daftpunk · 09/07/2009 13:52

or was he a woman in a monkeys body?

spokette · 09/07/2009 13:53

This thread reminds of the conspiracist who insist that we did not really land a man on the moon and it was all fabricated.

Witnesses bought, policed bribed, the whole judicial system bought off by the Jackson clan.

And the advocates of this regard MJ's fans as close minded and loons? Pot calling the kettle black methinks.

I bow out of this insanity.

Rhubarb · 09/07/2009 13:54

I dunno, why admit publicly to sleeping with children if you were abusing them? And it's not as if he were private about it, everyone knew that he shared a bed with kids. I'm not surprised he got accused of molestation, but he did, he seemed genuinely bemused by it all.

It's certainly a very complex and interesting case. But I feel so very sorry for his own children right now. They've got a very uncertain future ahead of them.

Lulumama - red or white?

Rhubarb · 09/07/2009 13:55

DP, you said he was a man in a child's body, I think you meant it the other way round?

TDiddy · 09/07/2009 13:55

Lulu, Dittany et al: Are you saying that you are 100pc certain or even 99.9pc ? It is scary how sure you are and yet the police, relatives and the courts couldn't nail him.
