'Kinell: someone hold my coat. If I have to see Hazel Bleugh's ratty little face trying to pathetically regain the moral highground, I will deck her, I really will...

I have lots of time for the New Labour project, and indeed for Red Gordon. But to see the lot of them fecking slugs crowing on TV about paying the money back is almost more immoral than stealing it from taxpayers in the first place.

Why couldn't she have just gone off quietly and paid it to a charity? Instead she brazenly gives a press conference bleating that 'all she cares about is what people think and what they think about her'.

FFS

Attempting to milk public sympathy for your sudden conversion to morality is a MASSIVE own goal. Sorry Gordon, but you're gonna need to bring back Campbell to add to Mandie to get your PR out of this one.

Massive. Own. Goal. And revolting. IMHO.

And waves a fucking cheque at the camera! Why didn't she go the whole hog and have a photoshoot, her and the Head of the IR holding a six foot cheque?

Idiot.

Think you might need to arrange a cloakroom!

SoupDragon · 12/05/2009 22:23

No worse than Cameron bleating on about how "appalling" it all is when there surely no way he a) didn't know it was going on and b) didn't do it himself.

LupusinaLlamasuit · 12/05/2009 22:24

Well, indeed. They are all as bad and shameful. I wasn't a cross about it until tonight because I do believe it is right that they should be able to claim a second home allowance. But the flipping flipping and

If ratty faced Hazel ever got a moat and a Helipad in her Salford abode though, I think I may cheer

AnyFucker · 12/05/2009 22:26

I hate Hazel Blears with a vengeance

That fucking stupid, fixed, manic grin she has

and the way she trots happily along as she is pursued by a dozen hostile paparazzi, like she is walking her fucking dog in the park

I want to throw eggs at her

Have seriously considered it (her constituency is near where I work)

I don't wanna get on the 6 o'clock news though

KayHarkerInTheBackOfTheQuattro · 12/05/2009 22:26

Oh they're all vile. Going on and on about how 'sorry' they are now they've been caught with their hands in the till.

How about some of the self-serving twats man up and RESIGN. I remember when we didn't have over-weening apologizing and handrubbing, we had people walking.

SoupDragon · 12/05/2009 22:26
AnybodyHomeMcFly · 12/05/2009 22:27

In complete agreement and love yr turn of phrase. Coat off and sleeves up at the mcfly residence.

SoupDragon · 12/05/2009 22:28

They can't all resign, we'd have no one left. Although that does have its merits.

AnybodyHomeMcFly · 12/05/2009 22:30

Although bumbling mumbling 'speaker' should be 1st up against wall

KayHarkerInTheBackOfTheQuattro · 12/05/2009 22:32

They don't all have to resign. But the fact that none of them are just underlines what a bunch of grasping pigs they are, really.

hullygully · 12/05/2009 22:33

I've always found Hazel rather fragrant.

LupusinaLlamasuit · 12/05/2009 22:33

Paxman asking right now: it's payback time, will that be good enough?

Er, no.

LupusinaLlamasuit · 12/05/2009 22:34

she's waving the fucking cheque again...

nigglewiggle · 12/05/2009 22:36

Soup -

Don't forget to claim for the bucket, and the cost of the petrol to get you to the shop, and the shoes that you had to have to get you there...... Do you have a moat?

KayHarkerInTheBackOfTheQuattro · 12/05/2009 22:36

Someone needs to photoshop it so she's actually waving a sign that says 'I am a grasping creep, look at me!'

And to think, we had to rely on newspaper hacks to police the moral highground.

sphil · 12/05/2009 22:44

I nearly exploded at the cheque-waving too. And then I come on here and you're all doing it too. Strangely comforting...

consorttovix · 12/05/2009 22:46

Hazel was being all perky on Newsnight yesterday, then she climbed on the back of a motorbike and zoomed off. I wanted to deck her as well!

LupusinaLlamasuit · 12/05/2009 22:47

I suppose it's vaguely comforting to know Bleughs will be gone at the next reshuffle. And interesting that the Torygraph are obviously happy to try and bring Cameron's lot down alongside Labour.

This is what happens isn't it? The papers tolerate things for so long, and then boom! They decide to dish the dirt.

OP posts:
Hassled · 12/05/2009 22:48

Am in total agreement. And "ratty little face" is inspired.

But what also hacks me off is fact it's the bloody Telegraph that has brought this to our attention. I should be grateful and it sticks in my throat.

LupusinaLlamasuit · 12/05/2009 22:50

Yes. Me too (on the Torygraph)

DH just said 'ah, Teresa May. You just want to hope she and Bleughs get trapped in a lift with a sneezing Mexican'

Mildly xenophobic but chillingly accurate.
