Why is this so sensitive? There are plenty of threads on here where flaming seems to be the norm - and nobody deletes threads or posts. Look at a bottle vs breastfeeding or MMR thread and you'll see extreme rudeness and in places cruelty - why is that ok in those threads but not others? In my mind, the Maddie topic shouldn't be any different, but in my view MN needs to be far better moderated and an ability to edit a post would be a good idea so that people can revise posts which they have made in the heat of the moment.
