It was the second piece about Jade Goody in yesterdays Mail. I only buy it for the tv pages and normally a flick through.

There were two articles about Jade in this week, the first was run of the mill i suppose, but the second written by some woman called Jan Moir was just unbelievable, to the point where at the end I wanted to rip the womans head off.
Lines like 'her friends are hoping that Girls Aloud wont play their hit Sound of the Underground'!!!! WTF, Im sure not one of them has even thought it, its just some snide comment from some stupid woman with no chin. This along with things about chav funerals etc etc was just appalling.

I have never wanted to complain about this sort of thing before, but I am enraged
Im not a huge Jade fan, but I dont knock her one bit for what shes doing, and if I was in her shoes I would probably try and get every last penny to secure my childrens future. This woman was suggesting she already had 'enough' money!

Just needed to rant cos all dh could say whilst i was shouting was, 'well dont read it then'

...like 'TV Times'?

No misogynistic, racist, xenophobic rants in the good old TV Times

You know, the best way to respond to DM publishing this rubbish is to stop buying it.

I think the problem is they all aspire to be Dorothy Parker caustic & witty...but actually only manage small minded and spiteful.

I can remember years ago being really offended when a newspaper had a photo of Elizabeth Taylor absolutely distraught over Richard Burtons death...it seemed intrusive and unnecessary and ive rarely bought a paper since!

I don't buy any newspaper but read this article online just now.

Ugh ugh ugh. Foul article. Terminal cancer being a good career move . Everything chav chav chav.

I can't speak for Jade, but I sure as hell would rather have no money and no trust fund for my children than a terminal illness. And yes, some people might not agree or want to hear about it. But no one should be telling her how to handle this.

What is it with Mumsnet and the Daily Mail? Every time I come on here there's either a link to a Mail article or a thread along the lines of 'I can't believe what shit I have just read in the Mail...'.

Just stop buying the damn rag and hopefully it'll go away.
