maybe she could answer 'Wot me ? No nt me, i'm just a Cm to eight mums who all had similar looking kids at the same time....'

I knew about this from the news today.

The thread title is completely and utterly word-perfect.

But I still clicked on it wondering how the hell a woman has managed to give birth to an octopus

I bet her scan pictures looked like she had an octopus in there, all those limbs!

No wonder they missed one

wonder if they'll tell the "extra" one that she was a lovely surprise

lol...I read it as octupus, too

not sure how it would work with bf...I can't quite see how you could feed that many Baby's...I mean twins/triplets...but 8????

I did grin (and think pfb!) when I saw she was planning to BF them - pretty impossible unless she has a team of staff to do absolutely everything else and she is prepared to not sleep at all for several months, I should have thought (though of course I'm happy to be proved wrong...)

I think it's amazing - and good for her for at least trying to breastfeed them all - maybe she will have to express in her sleep lol.

I had a medical team of at least 11 (well 10 plus a skivvy) for me and my twins with a vaginal delivery....makes 46 for mother and 8 babies and c section sound quite tame....

When i heard this morning i couldn't help thinking 'Sht we have only* 7 cots' .

lol lizzie...but I suppsoe they might only have 4 any, and would let the lil ones share cots anyway....so, teh 8th one would be a blessing....I mean, that way they can all be buddied up

how will they do it -

and by it I mean ANYTHING -

change 8 nappies
do eight feed
oh change 8 nappies
do 8 feeds
wash lots of clothes
and on and on argghhhhhhhhh

when you think that the nursery regulations are 1 staff member to 3 babies...this woman needs help, but how do you get it?

noonki...it does sound like an organisational nightmare....goodness...I found it hard enough to deal with a Baby at the time...

Can you imagine psyching yourself up for 7, buying all the stuff then the doctor goes "Wait, what do we have here?"

They could call the hidden one Picabo.

Do you think the jump from 0-8 is that much worse that 0-7 ?

Surely you'd have to employ at least 2 live-in nannies to help out full time? It would be like running a small nursery.

MrsJamin....but what do you do if that is not an option? I mean, you'd have to earn a lot of pennies to be able to afford 2 live-in-nannies...

that's where the sell-your-story bit comes in useful!

Interesting article in the Guardian pointing out how difficult it's going to be for her, including info on BFing.

I've just heard on the radio that this lady already has six children - life is going to be v v busy in that house !
