How stupid and insane are they?
And can I have an anti-censorship cookie with pornographic chocolate chips in, and a kinky milkshake please?

Oh dearrrr. But not all right-to-lifers are as stupid as this. NB: the people who seem determined to bash Obama on this issue seem willing to overlook the fact that their beloved Republicans never did a thing to help the unborn - slashing benefits, for instance, does nothing to lower the abortion rate. Also some right-to-life campaigners cna give the impressint hat they don't care about anyone EXCEPT the unborn... I'm actually crosser abour this because I AM pro-life, though not anti-choice - the way forward shoudl be by rational persuasion, not legislation.

BennyAndJoon · 17/01/2009 16:45

what utter loons.

treedelivery · 17/01/2009 16:46

I'm pro anything or anyone that will give me a free donut. Easier than examining inner most soul and tasty too

BennyAndJoon · 17/01/2009 16:47

surely if you are pro-life for yourself and pro-choice for everyone else that is the same as being pro-choice? You just happen to have made your personal choice?

you've made a choice that there is no choice for you personally, is that you mean?

I'm in that camp, and that's what it means for me - that there'd be no choice, find it very hard to imagine a set of circumstances that would make me consider an abortion

I feel squeamish about the whole thing, especially later ones, but I was raised RC and while so many of us say 'it's not a religious thing' it just has to be doesn't it? very deeply ingrained

Tidey · 17/01/2009 16:56

Krispy kreme doughnuts are gorgeous. Extreme pro-lifers are insane. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

Oh, in case I wasn't clear, I'm quite happy to be called a pro-life mentalist, as I'm quite openly in the pro-life camp, not the pro-life just for me etc. camp.

But I agree with JaneLumley that this kind of stupid nonsense from pro-lifers just trivializes the issue anyway.

A nice big box of donuts for me.

Well, I don't know. I mean, the sprinkles aren't as nice as a good coating of cinnamon. I was thinking I might picket MacDonalds about the cruel withdrawal of their cinnamon doughnuts, which were so nice.

So I think I'm probably pro-doughnut. For me. Rosemary Conley is free to choose not to have doughnuts, if she wants though. It's not something I'd want to force on anyone...

solidgoldsoddingjanuaryagain · 18/01/2009 01:52

Cinnamon! INFIDEL! INFIDEL! I am sure there is something somewhere in some religious text or other which prohibits any kind of seasoning of one's food altogether and therefore you are GOING TO THE BAD PLACE.

I've never had one....it's the last bastion of the North South divide. Suppose day trip to London out of question just to sample delights.
