Really, my heart bleeds. Do these people not realise how they are going to make themselves sound?

You can't blame people with no faith for wanting the best school, but it isn't right when wealthy people who are ARDENTLY anti- the ethos of the school take up a place that could have been offered to the child of another family.

If they feel SO strongly, pay for a place elsewhere, don't undermine what the school believes in, and is ENTITLED to believe in.
