I would not presume to know whether or not he did since I have not heard all the evidence, just what the media has chosen to tell us.

I try not to believe the stuff they print in the tabloids. Afterall - a lot of what they printed the first time round was utter shite.

He is a convicted sex attacker, he is being questioned over an attack on a 16 year old girl, he turned up at a TV studio to see a reporter, he is just odd.

There area lot of people I wouldn't want to live next door to, but it wouldn't be reasonable to think that an alternative to being my neighbour should be long term incarceration for crimes they did not commit.

I wouldn't mind. I'm sure he's got people taking care of him while he gets used to being back in real life. End of the day he was in prison for a long time for something he didn't do.

I'm not sure about BG as haven't followed recent press about him, but there have been cases recently where you can just see it coming. Am thinking about the sex offender returned from Australia for instance

I am not saying that innocent people never get sent to prison, but no one can argue that sometime guilty ones get out on appeal, it works both ways.

I think he will end up back in prison, papers do seem to be hounding him though.
He is a sex offender that has been proven, and as such I think locking up and throwing away the key is no bad thing.

I wathced a documentary (it may well ahve been BBC)some time ago which put forward a good case that BG may not have killed JD.

this will probably kick off, but am with Kimi partly on this. Not so much locked up, but quite clearly 'supervised' a bit more. He is making a nuisance of himself with women, and as she says he is a convicted sex offender.

Working in mental health, I am extremly uncomfortable about the amount of very dangerous people who are free to roam around the community.

If they have been convicted and later released, they need a huge amount of supervision for the protection of both themselves and the public, and sadly it is all too often that we read about further crimes from these same people.

We were following this case quite closely at the time out of pure nosiness because DH (very tangentially) knew Jill Dando's fiance, and we were amazed when BG was found guilty, the case against him seemed very thin.

Obviously the court of appeal thought so too.

I'm not convinced he didn't do it. After all a system that can wrongly convict someone can also wrongly aquit someone too, no?

However, he has had his conviction overturned, and as such he is legally innocent of murder. It is therefore not up to those who think otherwise to decide that he did it and should remain locked up.

But while I don't agree that he should have remained in prison, I certainly don't feel sympathy for him in the way some people do. Regardless of whether he did or did not kill JD, he is clearly an unpleasant individual who has been proven to have committed sexual asalts on other women, and who said he couldn't have killed jd because he was "stalking someone else at the time."

While I don't think that anyone deserves to be wrongly convicted of a crime they didn't commit, I do think that if you lead a certain lifestyle, ie stalking/harrassing/sexually asalting women, there is going to come a time when you will be suspected of, and possibly even convicted of doing something you didn't do.

If BG hadn't spent his life making other womens' lives a misery, then perhaps the authorities wouldn't have had reason to suspect him in the first place.
