Ok, so we are all of course terribly sorry for this poor, recently bereaved, homeless young woman who has a metabolic condition which means she has to eat vast amounts of hydrogenated fats just to survive/keep warm.

But what's her excuse for being too dim to read the parking notices, tell the time, or realise that selling her story to the Sun was not going to get her much in the way of sympathy?

nailpolish honestly you do not have to have don "proper" i.e. general nursing to do other forms of nursing. It is possible to do direct entry and do mental health (or other branches). Many years ago this may not have been the case. I have only even been a mental health nurse. I know very few mental health nurses who have a dual qualification (i.e. mental health and general)

Anyway, I have gone way off subject in my attempts to correct the mistaken belief that all nurses are general nurses or have done adult/general nursing before specialising.
