Now, I'm not a fan but I hope she makes a full recovery.

and I hope that all you who wrote this off as a publicity stunt feel thoroughly ashamed of yourselves.

Poor woman is ill. She is a mummy for goodness sake! She doesn't desere this. No one does.

Surely as fellow women ad fellow ummies we should support one another n times of need? Isn't that what MN is all about deep down?

I don't think this is about JG wanting publicity. But I do think that it says a lot about what being famous really means. I haven't read much of the coverage because I don't buy the tabloids and tbh the lives of celebrities really don't interest me. but what I have heard seems to have all come from "close friends". what kinds of close friends go to the press with every intimate detail of someone else's suffering? If you become famous then you can bet your life that there will be someone else waiting to cash in when times are tough.

close to who? Jade? or the media who will undoubtedly be parting with cash for her information?

"The pal added: ?Understandably Jade was nervous before the operation. All her boys have been told is that she has a poorly tummy.". So her own children don't actually know what is wrong with their mummy (which is of course understandable, as a 3 and 5 yo don't really have the capasity to grasp that kind of information), yet the rest of the general public seemingly are given every intimate detail.

If ever I needed convincing not to be famous, I think this would do it for me.

Poor woman. Don't like her at all but wouldn't wish what she is going through on anyone.

Find it hard to believe that the press have access to things she hasn't been told, unless they have told her next of kin and s/he has leaked it.

My DH is a journalist and says that "a close friend says..." is often someone told to feed the info to the press by the celeb or sometimes the person themselves. Princess Di was famous for giving info to "close friends" who would then tell the press.

I think any of you who suspect this is a publicity stunt should feel very ashamed of yourselves.
I have never been a fan of Jade,BUT,I am a mother,and I have lost my mother to cancer,so have seen upclose what this terrible disease does to you,mentally and physically.
As for Jade profiting from interviews reg her illness.Oh come on,give the poor girl a break!
She is a single mother with a 50 percent chance of survival,she does everything for her lil boys(saw this documentary about her recently which made me go from disliking her,to actually really liking the girl).And having cancer and facing a years worth of chemo,she will also lose out a years wages.
I def don't blame her for making any money that she can through selling her story,for heavsens sake,she has two children to support,and there is no way on earth that she can do a days work having this poison pumped through her body for 12 whole months!
Any of you who have been hit by cancer,or is close to someone who has, will know what I mean.
Leave the poor girl alone,and give her your prayers instead!

no she won't.based on the way she isthe way she is pr'ing this,i'd imagine she will make a good deal more money this year than last.

seeing as she's never done a days whole work before i don't see how this will affect her career
