This is just brilliant - concrete, indisputable evidence that the DM MAKES STUFF UP. I'm delighted

Cod - you need to come up with another scenario that could possibly involve a DM reader-type, start a thread and see if they bite a few weeks later. It will mean we'll all have to be reading the DM (I could do a rota) to spot the inventions. And it won't be trolling because it's for a worthy cause.

Oh I remember the original "organic strawberries and condoms" thread. People got upset (iirc) because some of them had obviously been cheated on and felt that some of the responses to the op were less than sympathetic. I think that I posted myself to say it was a bit insensitive.

Cod didn't you post on it that you were pleased that your (imaginary) dp was cheating ethically by buying organic etc?! That was a little warning bell that there was a troll on the loose.

Some copycat woman/journo/lurker/mnetter obviously remembered it too and thought (rightly) that it would be a great story for the Mail.

I can find and Andy Allott and a MRS Lynn Allot on the electoral register, but not a Lynn Newby. Wonder if they have made up her identity too? Might have a son called Rory!

I reckon Cod should go to the Mail and expose them. It would make for a better story and may even make Take a Break.
