ok it is the daily mail /hello(whole thread on its own about their views on women) and it is a hello type article but it is quite pleasing to see someone looking normal/happy and healthy after just having a baby and being honest about her size etc.

Although the irony of the daily mail printing this after printing so many articles about how huge she was is a big or having different children by various relationships is

How nice that it says 'a healthy ten pounds' instead of 'a whopping ten pounds' or 'an eye-watering ten pounds'.

stroppyknickers · 17/06/2008 12:13

She looks nothing like a new mum. She has washed her hair, there are no milk patches on her dress and none of the children are trying to grab control of the baby.

poppy34 · 17/06/2008 12:19

good point - although we don't know what they were up to before the camera snapped.

perhaps they can do a shoot round here in a week or two with dss asking where the pizza is, me looking frazzled in dirty old tracksuit and dsd playing wii in the background if she can work round the bags of rubbish that I've not yet taken out.

I did smirk at the Malcolm Monet thb. She doesn;t look like herself though does she.

In the photo of the photo of mag cover (grin) I would never have recognised her if it didn't have her name plastered all over it..

Also the photo with all her family she looks well different..

MrsBadger · 17/06/2008 12:40

good comments about bfing too

Rowlers · 17/06/2008 12:42

I've never had much of an opinion about Ulrike to be honest.
She gets a lot of knocks in the press (and on here I've noticed) but I've always thought she seemed like a good sort.
She sounded completely sensible and, well, nice, in that article.
And I really like what she said about body shape / new mother / breastfeeding.
Very positive.
Good for her.

Rowlers · 17/06/2008 12:44

But, cod, what did you think of her feet?

I really can't decide.
Sometimes I think "daft bint" and others I compare her to other celeb wimmin and she comes out quite well

4andnotout · 17/06/2008 12:53

I couldn't stop laughing long enough to concentrate on the article after the introducing baby Malcolm bit
