yep. got that hayley2u

really gets on my nerves when they hand out certificates for 100% attendance at school. I write yearly to the council to complain about it. I would accept it more if the council agreed to introduce a similar scheme for their employees but apparently it is not possible.

so, climbing onto my hobby horse

maybe the kids are amazingly healthy. good on them. but hardly a reason to hand out a certificate. it's not like they had any say in the matter

or, more likely, maybe they have been going in to school while still contagious with all kinds of horrible bugs. not something to encourage

ds1 often has v low immunity. he suffers twice, firstly cos he can't help having lots of time off, we already get plenty of letters from school complaining about it even though they know he can't help it - it's procedure . so he feels bad for not being able to achieve 100% attendance. then, secondly, one of the reasons he catches so many bugs is cos so many irresponsible parents send their kids in to school with all kinds of bugs - even chickenpox - saying 'oh but they love school and wanted to come' aaaaargh
