Aw what a shame, I'm sure they are had a great day other wise though

Upwind · 12/06/2008 16:54

looked against my better judgement - I understood that it was highly offensive to have bare shoulders in a church in Italy?

southeastastra · 12/06/2008 16:55

ew they're both really ugly mugs

MrsMattie · 12/06/2008 16:55

It wasn't a church wedding, was it?

MrsMattie · 12/06/2008 16:55

p.s. quite outrageous that she didn't wear a George at Asda dress, really!

MarsLady · 12/06/2008 16:55

Um... now I know this might seem a silly question but... well.... um... how come it cost £5million?

expatinscotland · 12/06/2008 16:56

They're chavs

southeastastra · 12/06/2008 16:56

that's the bar bill for his family

Flamesparrow · 12/06/2008 16:57

Aww

No rings exchanged?

Upwind · 12/06/2008 17:09

MrsMattie - that would explain it.

I once went on holiday to Italy and was thrown out of a church for wearing cap sleeves

expatinscotland · 12/06/2008 17:10

god, thank heaven, someone with some sense!

those bloody strapless excuses for dresses look like nothing but corsets. they're underwear, not clothes.

Nagapie · 12/06/2008 17:19

Call me a real stick in the mud and I know that you can't live your life trying to be sympathetic to others, but with all the doom and gloom around and with everyone tightening their belts and facing real financial difficulties, surely this sort of extreme self indulgence should just not be reported....

It isn't even as if the whole £5 mil has come out of the wealth that these two has amassed...

cornsilk · 12/06/2008 17:21

They're getting 2.5 million from a magazine for the pics. Si it's a budget wedding really.

MsDemeanor · 12/06/2008 17:22

"a brown suit with no tie"
class!

TsarChasm · 12/06/2008 17:29

Why do footballers get paid so damn much though?? And why do people want to pay them even more for photos. Why are they interesting? I just don't geddit. They kick a ball about sometimes. So what?

only a total halfwit would spend £5mill on a wedding

He IS shrek is he not??

Nagapie · 12/06/2008 17:38

I think it is just a dearth of quality people in the news...

Upwind · 12/06/2008 17:40

Why does anyone care what they spent. It is their money. Just think, it was the idiot football fans who made it all possible

wonderwomanakaeandh · 12/06/2008 17:42

but if I read that right that was teh civil ceremony, bet they have a huge another ceremony as I'd imagined her to have a full meringue type dress and cant imagine no rings (or these pics were staged by Ok to ensure they get exclusives in their magazine next week (well they want there £2.5million worth dont they)

MaryAnnSingleton · 12/06/2008 17:43

why no rings ? actully, that's probably quite refreshing, slebs usually choose diamond encrusted monstrosities

ssd · 12/06/2008 17:44

what do you mean by idiot football fans Upwind?

unknownrebelbang · 12/06/2008 17:44

I'm far more bothered that this is splashed all over the news than I am about the amount of money spent tbh.

(Yes, I know the amount is obscene; yes I think footballers are overpaid, blah blah blah) but it's not feckin news is it??

MaryAnnSingleton · 12/06/2008 17:44

oh, just read that it was the civil ceremony so I guess they're saving them...thought it all looked a bit understated

Upwind · 12/06/2008 17:51

Idiots who spend so much on ManU merchandise that they can afford to pay Rooney and co such obscene amounts of money.

But agree, this really is not news.
