Gordon - what's really going on?

So, the economy is buggering up (was always going to happen sooner or later). He fudged the early election decision, and the 10p tax band abolition.

But it seems there's something else that Westminster insiders are alluding to, but can't say outright. That he's losing it completely and hates the job.

Does anyone know what is really going on? Or would like to speculate wildly?

It's not looking good for him at all and I sense the end is near, in terms of his leadership. I think one problem is that he lacks charisma and people simply don't believe in him. It was always going to be difficult as people have been generally derisive of him as leader from the outset.

"be careful what you wish for" - I too, agree with that - very apt.

Aw, fillyjonk made the Slitheen reference first, next time I'm not going to read a thread and just assume only I am clever

Oooh, wouldn't Alan Rickman as PM be exciting! One could never be quite sure he didn't have an evil plot up his sleeve!! Though we could be sure he would come to an excitingly sticky end instead of a boring slow decline!
