Marina, whereabouts did it happen?

I can put flowers there for her if she would like me to.

Anyone coming over for this year's TT?

daftpunk · 16/05/2008 12:29

i'm sorry to hear that harleyd. i know you love motorbikes. yes, of course it can be dangerous, but so are lots of other sporting activties. when someone dies the rights and wrongs should be put aside (for a while at least)

ManxMum, that is such a kind thought but I don't think she can remember the specifics - she is 78 and an expert at blanking out unhappy details of her life. But I know she loved him dearly, thank you so much for offering.

No problem Marina, if you want me to I could possibly find out for you.

My dad is a retired firefighter and put me off getting a moped/motorcycle good style when I was 17 and showing off, thinking I was cool, bragging about getting a bike. Won't tell you exactly what he told me about motorcycle crash sites (it'd be horrible for anyone who's lost a friend or family member this way) but it absolutely did the trick.

Funeral went really well yesterday ( a friend went)

and his son won a race in his honor.
