"And I'm not breast feeding as I think it's anti-social," ??!

just read this article with Jessie Wallace who had her baby 2 months ago and she makes the comment "And I'm not breast feeding as I think it's anti-social," ...that's really going to promote breastfeeding isn't it!!

I like the "Tallulah is the only thing on my mind" as she was interviwed 2 months after the birth at a night club....

And I always found other women chatted to me when I was breastfeeding - very social I'd say!

But, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, yes? Included Jessie Wallace, even if it isn't what we feel ourselves.

Good on here for feeling up to clubbing when baaby is 2 months I say - I struggled to get out of bed

I suspect there are other reasons which she didnt want to share with the nation understandingly. I can also understand why she was going out. Surely her career depends on being seen and about?

Perhaps a slightly irresponsible comment by her, but BF isn't for everyone, not everyone feels the same about nurturing children on the bosom with all your heart ...

As far as being seen out and about I don't think it was a brilliant idea of a publicist to send a new mum out clubbing - she's hardly going to garner much sympathy as a devoted mother. On the other hand though it may get her loads of respect from mums who wish they were out clubbing!

Er, don't think there would be a society without breastfeeding in the first place, Jesse. How can it be anti-social? Maybe she means in the sense that it'd stop her socialising.... I was quite annoyed at her comment, I have to say.

Back to the article. What a ridiculous thing to say! Even if you don't want to breastfeed (which is your right even if I don't personally understand it), why would you say it's anti-social???? Doesn't make sense.

If you actually believe that the article is quoting her exact words, which TBH is highly unlikely anyway! No doubt something taken entirely out of context anyway. And it is her choice how she feeds her baby surely, and her reasons for doing so are her own too.

Can't help thinking that we wouldn't feel the same for the reason photographer's aren't going to be chasing us for that picture of our nipple falshing during feeding, no matter how great our boobs are!

Great support for bf mums who might be struggling (I don't think so...) Yes - she's entitled to her own opinion - but wonder why she thinks it anti-social?

But at least it gives the lie to the idea that bfeeding ruins your boobs - she says hers are down to her knees anyway!

Well, each to their own, etc. I just think it's a shame it had to be such a negative remark. It's not exactly encouraging. IMO it would be great to have more celebs promoting b'feeding, but then again it's not her job to do so, is it? (But then wasn't she photographed with a trolley full of SMA recently?)

I am really sceptical about this article...no idea why though. I just can't imagine her using the phrase "anti-social" when discussing breast feeding. It is hardly athe average comment is it? I suspect she said something more to do with it not fitting in with her social life - because of job, etc. And the article has just rejigged it to fit in with their own story.

Had to laugh at her saying she was reading the Baby Whisperer en route to somewhere to see friends and crying as she missed her baby!!!! Why go without her if feel that upset??
