This is the second time this has happened. Another one came over 2 years ago for the same reasons. It's outrageous?

It's great that we are paying to support this perv who hasn't lived in the UK since he was 5 .

We all think that we would send criminals back to their own country after they have served their sentence, because we hear so many stories about them staying here, but usually because they are from European countries,we, as are our neighbours, required to let them stay in the country in which they were convicted. American, Australian law is very different, and doesnt come under the EU law, for obvious reasons.

so what is your proposal Shaniece. Drop him in the ocean halfway between Uk/Australia and let him make his own way?

I do know of one British murderer who, on release from prison, was sent to Australia to start a new life. Which I thought was a bit of a cheek - had assumed we had given up sending them our criminals more than 100 years ago!

i don't understand why so many people are using the phrase "technically still british" as though the aussie government have found some loophole in the law. the man was born in britain, retained his british citizenship and passport, so obviously he still considers himself british and took no steps to ever relinquish that identity.the australian govt are doing exactly what any other govt would do in a situation where they had the option to deport a convicted child molester to their country of origin.

My mother has lived in the UK for nearly 60 years - but she is still an Australian.
