How can that not be enough? The papers are going to have a field day.....

She has come across as nothing but a nasty money grabbing shallow individual.
And if she goes true to form, she won't shut up about it now, but will start giving interviews left, right and center thinking they will make her look better, and all that will happen is she will look even worse ( if that's at all possible. )

frasersmummy · 18/03/2008 17:21

How is their poor daughter going to live on £35k a year (after childcare)???????

How many of us wish we had this problem

mumemma · 18/03/2008 17:30

lol pagwatch, I wonder how much would be reasonable to claim if she did drink wine. There's another £30,000 for food, £120,000 for clothes.......

mumemma
...perhaps she was expecting me?

Judy1234 · 18/03/2008 17:55

The judgment is worth reading. Very good fun and she had not proved various things. I don't think our divorce law is fair. SHe should get what she started with not be told she need £600k a year.

clam · 18/03/2008 17:59

Well, I can see why she attempted to get this judgement kept out o the public domain! I refer to paras 14 - 16......
in the face of, and overcoming, her disability. I refer to the loss of her left leg below the knee. As I shall show she is a kindly person and is devoted to her charitable causes. She has conducted her own case before me with a steely, yet courteous, determination.
15. The husband?s evidence was, in my judgment, balanced. He expressed himself moderately though at times with justifiable irritation, if not anger. He was consistent, accurate and honest.
16. But I regret to have to say I cannot say the same about the wife?s evidence. Having watched and listened to her give evidence, having studied the documents, and having given in her favour every allowance for the enormous strain she must have been under (and in conducting her own case) I am driven to the conclusion that much of her evidence, both written and oral, was not just inconsistent and inaccurate but also less than candid. Overall she was a less than impressive witness......
Clearly not a fan!

Judy1234 · 18/03/2008 18:02

It is a very good read. Full of interesting things.

southeastastra · 18/03/2008 18:04

gawd yawn, hope she just goes away now. not interesting in the slightest.

very pleased to hear lots of beatles/wings songs being played on the radio this week. heheh

hifi · 18/03/2008 18:07

very interesting read, she seems to fib about alot. what else would a four yr old need after a nanny, private school fees and private health care. nearly £3000 amonth will take some spending.greedy, greedy, greedy.

CaptainUnderpants · 18/03/2008 18:25

HM is very greedy woman, she has no sympathy from me at all ! Love the judgemnet para 16

With finicial markets in crisis (10,000 people likely to lose their jobs up North with Northern Rock) I think people will have very little time for her .

She should count herself lucky - I hope her daughter takes after her father .

A little Miss Nobody - only got famous because she walked out infront of a police car/bike then married an famous older man !

Judy1234 · 18/03/2008 20:00

I know. Her father has her 50% of the time anyway.
I think the judge had tried to be fair to her but if you don't back up what you're saying with receipts and evidence then you can't be expected to be believed.

spicemonster · 18/03/2008 20:11

She's an utter fantasist - always has been from what I can gather. And now she has been exposed for her lies and deception. I do think she honestly believes the stuff she comes out with - more fool that silly old bloke for buying into it. Poor little Bea

I am so glad they published the judgment.

clam · 18/03/2008 20:49

And how sensible of Paul to keep a dignified silence. She's hanging herself with every word she utters.

Cammelia · 18/03/2008 20:50

I feel sorry for Paul that the judgment was published.

clam · 18/03/2008 20:54

Why Cammelia? I think he came out of it OK. Better than the worst that everyone was probably thinking, anyway.

mumemma · 18/03/2008 20:54

I think one of the most damning things is when she continually ordered the accountant to pay off the mortgage on one of her properties and it later transpired that there wasn't even a mortgage on it. How stupid to commit fraud against her own husband when she was receiving £360,000 a year allowance on top of an amazing all expenses paid lifestyle including the use of seven properties. The acrylic nail bit is hilarious, especially when Paul appears to concede that this is the one area of the marriage where she was supportive!

mumemma · 18/03/2008 20:56

I think he comes out as a saint - didn't particularly like him before but I have a lot of respect for him. How the hell he kept calm through all this is a miracle. I feel sorry that a child was brought into it all though.

clam · 18/03/2008 20:57

It says in the report that this episode is used to support her contention that she was an "exceptional" wife. LOL. And that she was a counsellor to his children! Oh, I would LOVE to know what Stella thinks of that!!!!!

Cammelia · 18/03/2008 21:56

Clam, because he is someone who guards his privacy

clam · 18/03/2008 22:07

True, but I would say that the report vindicates him.

Judy1234 · 18/03/2008 22:28

He would have known whatever he said she would be telling her side of things and therefore in a sense publishing the judgment gets his side out there without him actually speaking to the press. She said she didn't want it published without the transcripts of what was said in court and other documents published (which they aren't) but I don't think they would really help her.

I really don't understand how women can take so much from men, even rich men. For your own self respect surely you go out of your way not be greedy if you're with someone wealthy, don't expect him to help your family out helping them buy houses etc.

Rhymenocerous · 18/03/2008 22:42

yes..totally baffling isn't it
