How can that not be enough? The papers are going to have a field day.....

is she meant to be getting extra on top of their DD as well?

how anyone can say that's not enough is beyond me

fedupwasherwoman · 17/03/2008 13:50

Did she get a lower than expected settlement ? Is this because she wants the right to make money from divulging marital life secrets in various tabloids/magazines at a later date ?

Surely that's more than enough dosh given how short the marriage was.

SheikYerboutisEggHunt · 17/03/2008 13:51

Gosh, what an ungrateful cow

I wish one of my exes would give me 20 odd million

Maidamess · 17/03/2008 13:52

Fruitloop.

fedupandisolated · 17/03/2008 13:52

She wanted 125 million apparently. Greedy bitch!

Kewcumber · 17/03/2008 13:53

I think she's claiming that covergae of her marriage has made it impossible for her to earn a living again... obviously she feels she was likely to earn much more than £23mill (marrying sultan of Brunei maybe )

belgo · 17/03/2008 13:53

but is it possible that if she loses the appeal, then she'll get less money, not more?

Now there's a comforting thought

SpookyMadMummy · 17/03/2008 13:53

here

Appeal not about money, so it seems...

"I'm so glad it's over," she told reporters, confirming she will not appeal the decision.

However she does intend to appeal against the publication of Justice Bennett's judgement being made public.

C&P from SkyNews

SheikYerboutisEggHunt · 17/03/2008 13:54

Indeed.

Its not like she supported him through his rising career is it?

She is not doing herself any favours wrt the press/pubic

SparklyGothKat · 17/03/2008 13:54

she is such a golddigger. I wish I had 23m!! I could live on that for the rest of my life. I guess she will also get money for their daughter too.

mumemma · 17/03/2008 13:54

Oh! I just heard it on the radio - 'she plans to appeal' so assumed it was about the money!

OP posts:
davidtennantsmistress · 17/03/2008 13:55

indeed, the fact she's after money from pre them meets & (i'm assuming money from linda's estate as well) is well, rather distasteful to me.

then again closed doors and all who knows what really went on etc in their marriage.

mumemma · 17/03/2008 13:56

How do you appeal against it being made public - the judge can't exactly take it back - does she just get an apology?

OP posts:
davidtennantsmistress · 17/03/2008 13:57

Ms Mills questioned the judge's value of Sir Paul's estate to be worth £400m.

"Everyone knows he's been worth £815m for the past 15 years," she said.

Its a bit like the commetns that struck from the record during a hearing... we all top pretend we didn't hear and they rub it out (assuming its written in pencil)

Blandmum · 17/03/2008 13:59

I think that going on TV and frothing at the mouth probably did more for her inability to earn shed loads of cash, rather than her divorce.

mumemma · 17/03/2008 14:02

Lol at kewcumber - MN will be ordered to delete this thread and we'll never mention it again.

If she says he's worth double the judge's estimate, does that mean she really wanted £50m - good grief.

OP posts:
SpookyMadMummy · 17/03/2008 14:05

I think she has pretty much trashed any sort of reputation she had anyway tbh. Her actions over this divorce settlement have done nothing but feed the media and label her a golddigger or similar.

MUM23ASD · 17/03/2008 14:07

just said on radio that she plans to help charities with her windfall...hmmmm...wonder just how much of the 24mil she'll give to charity???

Am I the only persoon who doesn't really care how much she got? It's none of my business, I don't know him, I don't know her.

Kewcumber · 17/03/2008 14:09

yes, you are. WE are nosy.

Kewcumber · 17/03/2008 14:10

though I do agree with Fio - marriage breakdown are always sad and there doesn't appear to be a clear fault on either side.

Expelliarmum · 17/03/2008 14:13

I've just turned news 24 off cos I'm sick of hearing the silly moo ranting about how unfair it all is! She should think of her daughter and maintain a little dignity! All together now "all you need is dosh..."
