Nicole Kidman at 5 month's pregnant?

I was ultra fit and very slim when I conceived ds1. I was in. My jeans til 7 mths bump only got really big at just over 35 weeks!

I had a huge bump and was constantly being asked if it was twins, but a friend in antenatal classes literally did not look pregnant up till about 7/8 months. I really don't know where the baby was - he was normal weight at birth.

ds was born at 38 weeks and i only had to wear my jeans undone for a week before that. was so glad i hadn't bothered to buy any maternity clothes!!

Bump no 1 similar to that picture, although no way as leggy or gorgeous as Nicole sadly. Some colleagues at work only noticed I was pg at 33 wks. God knows where he was hiding at 8lb 2.

Someone I know it RL went up to a size 8 with her first pg, back up to an 8 with her 2nd and up to a 10 with her 3rd!!!

I bumped into her when she was due with her 2nd and I didn't even realise she was pg!

My mum said she hardly showed until she was pg with me until she was about 7 months. She was about a size 10 - 12 and I was an average sized baby.
She was ginormous carrying my brothers (twins) early on!

i only put on a stone too lou and ds was 7lb 5 and that was at 2 weeks early. glad he came early as he probably would have been an 8.5 lber!!

That's as big as my bf got on her 4th pregnancy.

I was like that with my DD until I reached 40 weeks - people were asking why I was leaving work. Then in the two weeks she was overdue, I exploded! I turned into a complete and utter pumpkin. I did finally give birth to a 9lb 8oz baby though

soapbox - really?! very jealous. were you in all your normal clothes and everything right up until 40 weeks. do you fit into this very tall theory? i didn't cos i am only about 5 foot 3 or 4.

No - but I was quite overweight at the beginning of the pregnancy and didn't put on so much as a pound during the whole time. The day after giving birth I was 2 and a bit stones lighter than before I was pregnant!

I think for some overweight people, their metabolism works properly during pregnancy in a way that it doesn't normally. I have a good friend (and she is a MNetter) who is pregnant with her 4th child and at 34 weeks has a tiny bump! I think she too, has lost a lot of weight during this pregnancy!

I am so at all you skinny minnies! I was a size 6 before dd and by 6 weeks people were already asking if I was 5 months! Am no longer anywhere near a size 6 now tho (damn you leftovers!) Turned out I was carrying over 3 STONES of water when I had her tho I nearly had to move hosp rooms because I literally flooded it when my waters broke!

tbh I was like that with dd - can't remember with the other two but my first took ages to become noticeable.

I was not showing any kind of a bump till 7.5 months with dd1.
Stated showing at about 4 months with the Twins but never need maternity clothes and from the back I didn't look pregnant even at 35 weeks when they were born

With dd4 I started shoing early but only got to 33 weeks so may have got a bit bigger than the other pg's.

Was biggest with ds1 but still only needed to go up to size 12 trousers

It is a pain on the bus though, I remember deliberately pushing my bump out and undoing my coat when pg with ds1 just so I could sit down.
