Colleen can hold her head high. She trird to settle 4 times but Vardy wouldn't back down

@wonderstuff i suspect she was advised repeatedly to settle but wanted her day in court. I suspect she’s just too dim to realise that she wouldn’t be able to bluster her way through it, or what cross examination by a leading silk would be like.

Her own team repeatedly urged her to settle out of court, as did Rooney's.

This was driven by pure hubris, ego, and a fundamental absence of common sense. Nothing else.

No surprise really, I’m glad Colleen won.

I mean - the fashion parade she put on - the dressing like a lawyer bollocks- she thought she was going to win and get a boost from it. Apart from the c£3m costs bill and therapists fees for years to come, she must’ve blown close to £100k just on court outfits. She drove this whole thing; rooney made repeated offers to settle.

I didn't know CR tried to settle. Glad Vardy lost. That phone going into the North Sea (iirc) was a highlight.

In the ruling the judge comments on RV’s evidence and how it was difficult to believe, she’s absolutely ruined her own reputation for ever.
