It is a heartbreaking thing for anyone to go through.
I think that if more famous people came out and made a fuss then maybe the medical (males) profession would take miscarriage more seriously. As it is we get brushed aside and told we are unlucky.

Agree about celebs being forced to annouce early. I used to be mates with Helena B-C's brother and he was really upset that the papers announced her first pregnancy before she'd been able to tell any of her family.

very sad and having to go through it in the public eye too. DS, 8, was listening to the news with me, and he was a bit upset too, he had to ask what it meant, and he was sad for the baby. awful thing for anyone to go through.. hope she is given some time to grieve privately.

I was watching a repeat episode of Never Mind the Buzzcocks about 2 weeks ago which I think must have been from sometime late last year and on there she was making a joke about being pregnant. She said something like she had been sitting with her family and had mentioned that she had really sore boobs and they all said that maybe she was pregnant, anyway she said she couldn't be and made up a silly song about it. Anyway, maybe she turned out to be after all but because she had sort of announced it to the world inadvertently she had to make a proper press release fairly early.

How awful. I'm not a fan of Lilly Allen myself but that is a terrible thing to happen to anyone. how could Sue Delaney say such a thing... I posted a comment but am not sure it will go through...
