Katie Price will not be jailed for breaching a restraining order and instead will have to perform 170 hours of unpaid work.

She'll find some reason why she can't even do the community work

Mouldyfeet · 24/06/2022 16:48

No other person with this amount of criminal goings on, would be spared jail. It's an absolute shit show.
There are mums out there that have been shoved in jail for less than her, hard up, desperate mums. She just keeps on getting away with it.

I agree completely. I'd love to know what dirt she has on some of these judges the amount she's got let off for is just staggering!

I'm sure someone will be along to excuse her in a minute, as they always do. That said I cannot honestly think of any other person who has gotten let off so much and managed to avoid jail to the extent she has.

It makes a huge mockery of the judicial system.

Mouldyfeet · 24/06/2022 16:56

Yep, just waiting for the 'oh she's such a good mum' 'harvey needs her' 'prison is not needed' etc etc

She's an aggressive, selfish person that does whatever she wants knowing that she will never be properly punished for it. She'll get out of the community service or just go the odd day as a photo shoot and get paid for it.

Makes a massive joke of our judicial system.

SandyWedges · 24/06/2022 16:56

What's the AIBU?

WhenISnappedAndFarted · 24/06/2022 16:57

I'm not surprised, we all know that she should be in prison by now but it is unsurprising that she got away with it yet again.

SherbetDips · 24/06/2022 16:58

They probably take in to consideration that she is her sons carer. Honestly I wish she would bloody sort herself out because she’s absolutely amazing when she’s with Harvey. It’s a shame

LizBennet · 24/06/2022 16:58

That's a shame

She isn't though.

She's not his carer though and hasn't been for a while now. Nor to my knowledge is she the primary carer for any of her other children.

SherbetDips · 24/06/2022 17:04

oh I thought she was! Her behaviour is ridiculous tho she needs to sort herself out. Like I say.

Roselilly36 · 24/06/2022 17:05

She seems in self destruct mode, sadly, perhaps a spell at HMP could help her? The way things are I don’t think it will be long before she does something else daft, and she is back in court. She clearly needs help.

PansyPetunia · 24/06/2022 17:06

I thought she would go after the last car drug driving accident

She's untouchable it seems

clpsmum · 24/06/2022 17:08

Again ffs

Summerlovin20 · 24/06/2022 17:08

Harvey is at residential college, I don’t know if he goes home at weekends, I always thought Katie’s mother was Harvey’s carer, now she’s too sick to care he’s been shipped out.
I can’t believe what this woman has got away with over the years.

custardbear · 24/06/2022 17:11

I don't really keep up with that type of 'news' recall drunk drinking, what else has she done?

Rosiestraws · 24/06/2022 17:17

I'm intrigued as to how many of you have read the bbc article who think she should be imprisoned? Assuming we are only talking about this offence (not the driving ones ofc..) you think the message she sent to her ex husband about his new gf who KP thinks cheated together warrants someone being put in prison? That's frankly ridiculous! What a waste of tax payer's money... It's the sort of thing teenagers at school would message to each other "your gf said this about me on Instagram" Yes she breached the restraining order technically by doing this but I struggle to believe the new gf was that terrified by the message.

I can also assure you (as someone who is involved in law) these judges are not able to make up rules about what punishments apply or not. There are sentencing guidelines for all offences and a spectrum of what the punishment can be which they apply to the case depending on various things such as aggravating factors or reasons why they might be more lenient. If custody is warranted then yes they do take into consideration various things like if the person is a primary carer etc but the judges are following the law. I expect KP being able to afford good lawyers who know how to argue the right points etc helps ofc. Probably other people in these positions who have legal representation for free just don't get the same quality of lawyers sadly. Or rather these lawyers don't have the time to dedicate to ensuring they do everything possible for their clients..

We're just moving this over to News.

InFiveMins · 24/06/2022 17:19

She will continue with the same behaviour because there is no proper punishment.

Bet she doesn't do the community service!

Kris02 · 24/06/2022 17:19

Who gives a ? The woman is a total waste of space - ignorant, boring and common. As soon as I hear her whining, nasal, moron voice I virtually throw the remote at the TV. (Sure, call me a snob, I don’t care.)

Christ, what a role model for young girls!! The fact that her ‘book’ was a bestseller makes me want to give up. Instead of reading her drivel, I want young women to read Virginia Woolf and Sylvia Plath, or listen to Amy Winehouse and Patti Smith, or watch a stand up show by Sara Pascoe and Sarah Millican. At least those women have brains and talent.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 24/06/2022 17:21

Perhaps a spell at HMP could help her?

I'm not even sure of that, but it would certainly help everyone else by keeping her away from us

Very possibly she'll kill someone in time, and if it happens she'll probably get away with that too

LizBennet · 24/06/2022 17:26

No one thinks that, surely? It would be nice though if one of her court visits resulted in a prison sentence 🤷🏼‍♀️

Wonnle · 24/06/2022 17:34

Can the CPS appeal this letting her off again ?

What does she have to be found guilty of to be put away i wonder

At least 2 of the women you’ve listed were addicted to one substance or another. 2 of them also think it’s possible to change sex.
