Good.

She is many things but a scapegoat isn't one of them. I absolutely believe she is guilty of the charges against her. She deserves to rot in jail.

I honestly thought she would be found not guilty.

Are there others who should also face charges? Yes. But that doesn't make her a scapegoat.

I can imagine there are a lot of nervous people this morning. It will be interesting to see if she gives up the others now.

I hope she sings like a linty.

But I also hope she does her time.

Okay, I don’t meant to imply she’s not as guilty as sin - more that now they’ve convicted her, they have a nice trophy and can slack off prosecuting the actual rapists.

I did think she might get away with it. Sadly I think the men involved will get away with it. I think some of those involved (not necessarily people well known to the public) have the influence to ensure this.

Look at the way Epstein's conviction in Florida was dealt with. It was a farce!

None of the counts implicated Prince Andrew. There was no evidence offered in this trial that Andrew was involved in any wrongdoing.

She was charged with six specific offences and found guilty on five of those charges.

If her team also think there was pressure to reach a verdict they may use that as part of their grounds of appeal?

Possibly but I'm not familiar enough with criminal law in the States to say how strong that argument is. A stronger argument may be that the judge refused time to allow the defence to get their witnesses to court, thereby depriving Maxwell of at least two witnesses, possibly more.

Just to add to this, I understand Giuffre/Roberts was available to give evidence in this trial but the prosecution chose not to call her, apparently due to concerns about her credibility.

I also wondered whether she'd get away with it somehow. I hope the CCTV outside her cell is well maintained.
