Good.

OP posts:

I hope she gives all the interviews!

GreenClock · 29/12/2021 22:40

She should do something decent now - explain precisely how other high-profile men were involved. There are a few names knocking around, not just the obvious one. Some of them must have committed crimes and they need to be charged.

FMLpassthegin · 29/12/2021 22:41

Apparently counts 1345 carry max sentence of 5 yrs but count six a max sentence of 40 years

viques · 29/12/2021 22:42

@Skiptheheartsandflowers

I also wondered whether she'd get away with it somehow. I hope the CCTV outside her cell is well maintained.
Yes, a second “suicide” would be hard to explain away.
JackTheHack · 29/12/2021 22:42

Lol!

justasking111 · 29/12/2021 22:45

I'd hate to be her legal team now, it's fine to say she should name names, but these men have a very long reach and I wouldn't like to be in their sights

Bringonsummer19 · 29/12/2021 22:48

I was worried it was headed for not guilty. There is no way she had no knowledge of activities which happened on such a prolific scale.

Hopefully she now opens up about everyone else. She can not be the only person.

L0uby1 · 29/12/2021 22:48

She won't last long enough to do that! She'll mysteriously commit suicide in jail.Hmm Hope the queens favourite son is sweating like fuck at the moment!!

AmIoldbutdontrealiseit · 29/12/2021 22:50

Good. Now name everyone involved.

KeyLimePies · 29/12/2021 22:53

I did read earlier today that the judge was willing for the jury to deliberate through to the new year. That made me think that the pressure would be on them to reach a verdict before then if they wanted to spend NY with their family and friends. If her team also think there was pressure to reach a verdict they may use that as part of their grounds of appeal?

user1487194234 · 29/12/2021 22:56

Is there an element of misogyny that she is the one left carrying the can ?🤷‍♀️

thenightsky · 29/12/2021 22:57

@SheldonesqueTheBstard

Now go after the men.
This!

Now that’s not fair, you know he has a medical condition that means he can’t sweat. Grin
KaptainKaveman · 29/12/2021 23:41

I expect she will try and offer up all her knowledge in exchange for a lesser sentence. Let's hope Prince Andrew is absolutely trembling in fear right now.
She's thoroughly evil. However I agree with a pp that it's wrong that she's the only one being punished. I mean even Bill Cosby has been let out on a technicality ffs. It's an outrage.

She's presumably choosing to keep any information that might implicate others (men) to herself?

Epstein didn't really get off lightly either..

ZenNudist · 29/12/2021 23:56

Now go after the men.

^this, but it won't happen will it?!

L0uby1 · 30/12/2021 09:06

Apart from Andrew, is Trump and Clinton the names that are usually mentioned? I'm sure there are loads more, but only ever hear the same few names.

BackBackBack · 30/12/2021 09:12

I'm glad she's been convicted, but am frustrated that she's being used as the convenient sacrificial lamb to protect an awful lot of guilty men.

What GM did was horrible and she absolutely deserves to be punished. But whilst she was involved in the trafficking, she wasn't the one raping the girls. There are a lot of men out there who also need to face the consequences for what they did.

Misogyny that she is found guilty of a crimes she carried out?

Absolutely.

Where are the men who ordered these girls? Who raped them?

Hiding behind Mummy for one, and lawyers for the rest.

She enabled rape to happen, she is so far choosing to protect rapists.

Being found guilty of crimes you have carried out does not make you a sacrifical lamb, neither does choosing to protect rapists.

BackBackBack · 30/12/2021 09:21

@Simonjt - I'm not saying that she views herself that way. Nor am I saying that being convicted makes her a victim. But the media, so far, has been quite quiet on the men who were involved in this, with the exception of Prince Andrew. Even then the media coverage has been quite limited. There were a lot of other people involved in this, who are unlikely to be brought to justice - that's why I used the phrase sacrificial lamb, because from a public POV there's been a conviction, it's all done and dusted and people will move on. Forgetting - or choosing to ignore - the fact that GM did not operate in a vacuum.

The media are very limited in what they can say about any ongoing criminal case, just as we are, unless we want the media to publish what they like which can easily result in someone not having a fair trial and getting away with a crime.

BackBackBack · 30/12/2021 09:28

@Simonjt yes, I understand that. But there has been very little acknowledgment of the "end users" so to speak even without naming names. All of the public opprobrium has been heaped on GM and that's quite convenient for the men in the background who are rather hoping this will all disappear now that GM has been convicted.

It will be interesting to see whether GM decides to talk in return for negotiating a shorter sentence.

DazzlePaintedBattlePants · 30/12/2021 09:40

Agree that she’s a convenient scapegoat, when it’s the rapists who need punishing the most. Hope she sings like a canary.
