I heard this on the radio earlier - what a stupid couple, did they really think they could get away with it .

why did he break cover now though? They had been getting away with it for five years...and how can his wife deny the photo of him and her taken last year???!!

I feel really sorry for their sons and his dad (who is in his 90s). How devastating to think that your son is dead and then find out he's been conning everyone.

Apparently the police received a tip off because they had been investigating this man's death for about the past 3 months!

oh what a shock - now the wife admits to knowing he was alive - what an awful scheming pair they are...

He confessed mainly because the game was up I think. The police have been investigating because of a tip off from the bank because he was using his credit card

I think she is lying about the children not knowing. Apparently they have both quit their jobs in the past few months.
It seems pretty obvious the father didn't know though. Callous sods.

If the sons are not privvy to it I will be amazed tbh. I hope they get put away for a long time for fraud, wasting police time and endangering the lives of emergency service people.
